zarni replied May 23, 2006I mean lets say you say for this pair the optimal is to look for ptm>.0150 and pts>.05. I've found that different pairs show different optimal settings.

zarni replied May 23, 2006That is not true for CASH only for futures. Just open any of the MDB files and see. Volume does not appear in the CASH forex data. This is an actual MDB file for EURUSD. And it seems VP does not need data on futures to create predictions for CASH ...

zarni replied May 23, 2006I am not sure intraday would work with VP. The neural network and all the algorithms would assume 24 hours and thus the calculations may be off. However it may be viable to do a specific point in a day when you do the data upload - as in rather than ...

zarni replied May 22, 2006Well I am no statisctician but just because your broker had a deviation one day that doesn't make it significant long-term. I tend to think that it is probably better to have a broader data feed but that is just a supposition. There is a possibility ...

zarni replied May 22, 2006BB - if you need data that is closest to your broker just input your broker's data into the .mdb files. That would solve your problem and you won't even need to use a separate data feed.

zarni replied May 22, 2006Hi Rex, yes that is a given. To do swing trading you have to be able to stick with it long term. I have no doubt that the strategies are much different in the psychological aspect. However, I have to say if you can stick with swing trading it seems ...

zarni replied May 22, 2006Hi guys, much thanks for the system Rex. However, I have a question. Have you tested swing trading using predicted 10-day vs 10 day. What I show is trading EURJPY 1 contract from 1/5/99 to 5/12/06 which is approx 7.5 years yields 33745 pips. Or ...

zarni replied May 22, 2006The parameters are exactly as defined in the manual. I buy at predicted low when I have neural index 1 and tune for pts/ptm for each pair (positive values). I sell at predicted high when I have neural index 0 and tune for pts/ptm for each pair ...

zarni replied May 21, 2006I do have proof that vantagepoint does work based on backtesting. However, it is not 80% successful. I get it to about 60-70% which is pretty darn good. If you are interested i can provide you with the backtesting results. Now I do have a question ...

zarni replied May 19, 2006' Backtesting. And it is as simple as watching for the swing. i.e. MVA cross. Exactly how VP propose. Now it is questionable whether the predicted MVA is of any use considering the samples I've analyzed show pretty much same success using close ...

zarni replied May 19, 2006Hey Andrew, Actually if you have the fortitude I think VP works best with swing trading. You have to be able to stick with the program though. I have tested and it seems swing trading offers the best return out of any of the other options. I showed ...
