I find it hard to trust channel trading ... never try demo-ing it but will look into it. This idea goes against drawing correct trendline for mouteki method but will check it out...

Open a long position at 2 lots. And then open a new short position at 1 lot. Then you net 1 lot long. That's how I do it on Oanda. Should be the same thing on MT4 unless hedging is allowed or something.
How to close half a trade

I'm on the west coast so I don't know. But I would look at all the pairs available on MT4. I know sometime the major pairs break the trendline early and nothing happen until late at 11-12 PST. So try to catch it when that happens.
