That's one way I'm looking to trade so I can have long term investments. I like the short term trading method but I prefer looking at my charts once or twice a day and seeing whether prices are nearing 4hr or Daily Ks lines then making a decision. ...

Hmm: 9,26,52 shows it inside the kumo. 7,21,42 shows it outside the kumo. Strange - that has me worried about my broker's data now...

Are you using different settings? My GBPCHF chart shows a bounce off the daily kumo downwards at present - most recent SR zone is 1.7150.

Ok, I am short UJ again on the 1hr kumo breakout. D1, H4, H1 trends all down. SL 89.66 If it cannot clear 88.70-88.80, I'm out.

EU: currently +62 and SL at break even (bounce off Daily Ks) AU: +22 (bounce off 4hr kumo) NU: +20 (bounce off 4hr Ks) Anyone who trades the longer timeframes, drwasho, etc. What do you use as your entry signals? To be honest, the above 3 trades ...

Based on price being inside the kumo? Possibly, but if the trend is strong as on the daily chart, the Ks has been a strong supporter. I'll wait longer anyway as it has struggled at the 1.5 region.

EU, NU, AU all look to be forming nice 4hr candles. Any thoughts on these trades? EU: bounce off D1 Ks AU: bounce off kumo and low from about 12 candles ago NU: bounce off 4hr Ks.

Couple of trades stopped for be or a profit lastnight: NU and AU. AU most likely because of the news report at 0030 GMT. Today, looking at EJ, UJ, and GChf. UJ currently +50pips and holding trailing the 1hr Ks (guaranteed +20), looking to add on. ...

Looks like you have your retrace to the Daily KS. I would wait for a 4hr candle pattern signal and then see if it closes above the Ks.

Post up some of your losers, I intend to do that. The most difficult thing with trading the 1hr and 4hr is that you are probably going for longer term trades? The stop needs to be wide enough to contain the news events...or rather once your trade is ...

I already did but based on a 5min neutral cross (UJ and AU, UCAD I haven't re-entered yet). I wouldn't normally take these but given that the move was after news, I felt I was getting a good price this time - better price than my 1st entry under a ...

At the moment, all the code is in the int init() function, which starts once when you load the indicator. You need to create an ObjectSet line that changes the value: ObjectSet("D1KsValue", OBJ_HLINE, 0, Time[0], iIchimoku(Symbol(), PERIOD_D1, 9, ...

I haven't looked at this yet but you'll need to do something like repaint the lines or delete them and put them back in every tick and it will be live information. ...or put the ObjectSet into the start() function.

How does the carry trade work? Is it only on buy trades where the buy currency has a national interest rate higher than the 2nd in the pair?

Do you guys generally hold onto trades over the weekend? I usually close on Friday and then re-open on Sunday if all looks well to avoid a random market crash over the weekend and the Sunday gap issue. I'm wondering if it's really worth the trouble ...
