Eh.. those banks are not likely to have much impact. Bigger banks have worked around some of the prop trading restrictions anyway with "market making" activity that resulted in MTM revenue.

It seems the ceiling has lowered to 1440 now. Sounds like nonsense either way. If gold breaks 1435 (I doubt it will this week) it will surely rise toward 1500 quickly.

I'm pretty sure it will hold for awhile longer, we need a spark in the markets before it breaks and the Fed is not likely to be the one to provide one right now. When gold does break though the move will probably be significant.

Looking at the daily candles right now I feel pretty good about staying long gold in the coming days, buyers seem ready to catch any dips in price. In the meantime we sleepwalk through to tomorrow and prepare for Fed guidance.
