eyevoltage replied Dec 9, 2015Hello Gareth, and welcome to the thread. Crystal Ball? I wish!
Looking at your charts, it seems that you're depending solely on chart patterns? They are trend-lines after all, I guess, but I do advise you to get some lines in there, be they pivot ...Psych Levels, Pivots, and Trendlines - Resurrected

eyevoltage replied Dec 8, 201515m..... AJ I wish I'd taken advantage of this beauty. The first pull-back across 89.00 would have yielded nearly 40 pips or so. The second one would have given me approx 50 pips! Two little TL's and a couple of psych-lines, eh? Amazing what's on ...

eyevoltage replied Dec 8, 201515m.... EU A rather impressive bullish flag pattern formed, and crossed over the 50sma/1.850 psych-line confluence, before price meandered up towards the 1.0900 psych-line. I didn't wait for it to reach the next psych-line, being satisfied with what ...

eyevoltage replied Dec 7, 2015Good to see your charts, Roose. When to get out can be a problem, unless you establish a target. At least then you're in control. Nice to see coastie nipping in and out now and then!

eyevoltage replied Dec 7, 201515m..... AJ Price dipped under the 90.00 psych-line and then pulled back up to test for resistance. As happens so often, after the test, price meandered down to the next psych-line, in this case, 89.50. Entry and exit as indicated.

eyevoltage replied Dec 3, 2015I missed this beautiful sideways wedge along the 1.5050 psych-line on 15m GU. Price broke out bullish and at present has reached 59 pips !! Can't win 'em all, I guess!

eyevoltage replied Dec 3, 201515m..... EU After the dramatic rises today which I missed due to other duties, I spotted this push through the 1.0850 psych-line. When this candle closed, I entered just above its high, and it wasn't long before I closed at just above 1.0900. I see ...

eyevoltage replied Dec 3, 2015Hello, Ruffer, and thank you for your interesting post. You are quite right about acumen's comments regarding waiting for the pull-back. It's known as "testing for support/resistance" depending on which way you're going!

eyevoltage replied Dec 3, 2015Hello, Roose. Thanks for the contribution. Just a couple of things. That's not a rising wedge, mate. In fact, there's no pattern there at all, if I'm seeing right. However, there's a bullish flag pattern further down, and you could have entered just ...

eyevoltage replied Dec 2, 201515m..... UJ This would have been a nice trade, but unfortunately, I missed it completely as I don't often check this pair. After price moved through 123.00, it then retraced to check for support, and then a little later it formed a bullish flag ...

eyevoltage replied Dec 2, 201515m..... GU After price dropped through the 50 psych-line, it reversed and tested said line. It was followed by a nice little Harami candle, signifying the possibility of a bearish move. Entry was just under the Harami, and it took just over 3 hours ...

eyevoltage replied Dec 1, 2015Many thanks , turnip. These days, I tend to target psych-lines almost full-time. Basically, it's because pivots seem so "cramped", if you see what I mean. Not much elbow room! Which is why I've taken to the "wide open spaces" between the ...

eyevoltage replied Dec 1, 201515m..... EJ The use of two TL's gave me this trade. A bit of a rough triangle pattern, but it turned out to be useful. I wasn't quick enough to close my trade after price pushed across the .50 psych-line, but still, it was a welcome 20 pips.
