JR97 replied Nov 21, 2008Nice. Don't forget.. fibonacci is only but a fraction of the ratios and proporotions in sacred geometry. Pi and the square roots of 2, 3, 5 are all equally if not more prominant than Phi. Phi just gets all of the press. The attached chart shows ...

JR97 replied Nov 20, 2008Wed's CPI or PPI or whatever it was triggered my stops. The spike up peaked right on my timeline before dropping down into another time line. So out of all of that, 2 good winners, 1 loser, 1 b/e. Target ended up being achieved on all time frames ...

JR97 replied Nov 17, 2008I do a lot concerning geometry. There's geometry of the numbers, geometry on the charts, and also geometry that is hard to see on the charts because price are a dimensional representation of a four dimensional phenominon.. arguably.

JR97 replied Nov 15, 2008Interesting thread. I was up late last night writing a blog draft about peace of mind in front of the charts. It's good to see a lot of people aware of brain waves and states. Also whomever mentioned classical music and brain waves. I used to listen ...

JR97 replied Nov 15, 2008The most recent trade: On Thursday I shorted the Euro based on a 4h triangle forming. Normally, I don't like trading inside of consolidation, but on the 4h there is usually sufficient range for swing trading. Especially the past few weeks where the ...

JR97 replied Nov 15, 2008It's been a year — I took a year from watching charts to focus on school and some other things. I haven't logged on to the Factory here in ages. Lots of changes, new faces, etc. I thought I'd post a few trades here in my journal to show some ...

JR97 replied May 18, 2008Exactly. But you guys are still looking at it from one dimension. One time frame. The probability that price will return to the mean is relatively high. However, the mean does adjust as price and time advance. BUT even in a trending market, price ...

JR97 replied May 14, 2008I know nothing about DownRiverTrader. I avoid anything less than 15 min. as well. What I meant by longer period is that most programs put bollinger bands with a period of 20 or 14. That's too short and "rubbery" for me. I like the bands with a ...

JR97 replied May 14, 2008Bollinger Bands by themselves and at the "standard" setting do hold little value. That's why I said you have to go to a longer period and apply to multiple time frames. Nesting them is also another good technique.

JR97 replied May 14, 2008The excel thing stopped working when I upgraded to office xp and then office 2003. I was getting live price data from the CMS VT API. I don't think the thing will even open now. And I don't use the methods anymore anyway, so I haven't bothered ...

JR97 replied May 14, 2008Part of the difference in your Excel version is the amount of steps. If you show more prices, you'll get something similar to the mt4 market profile indicator. Personally, I think the better option is it use regression channels. They basically give ...

JR97 replied Oct 22, 2007I updated to Office 2007 and now my excel app doesn't work. *sigh* I might go back to 2003 when I'm done with this class I need 2007 for. Anywho, GBPJPY is in short mode since last week. Since I've been away, I missed the top, but picked up a nice ...
