Finance Minister — The Japanese Finance Minister comments are interesting. I've been loosely following comments out of Japan since the fall from 250 and the conclusion i've come to is they won't dare catch a falling knife. The downmove from ...

Holding shorts....for now — I don't subscribe to the philosophy of NFP already being priced-in. Yen strength was not a surprise considering the noises coming from Japan and the UK this past few weeks. So what happened on Friday? Well, a ...

Ireland — Ireland will not vote no again. It was very quickly established last time round that the no vote was a big mistake. Ireland has too much to lose by alienating Europe at this time. A strong yes vote should be expected. I agree though ...

Weekend Quotes — Take from this what you will, but I have been studying weekend quotes from a variety of sources since Feb. Every time without fail the price quoted during the weekend has been hit within the next trading week.

Boring? lol — Who was saying GY has become boring? Hope they didn't give up on it.
One thing which should be abundantly clear this week is that there is nothing to be gained from having a bias cast in stone. I've been wrong 3 times in 2 ...Auslanco - GBP/JPY and GBP/USD (newstrade)

ha ha ha — Taken a suicidal long here at 144.93. See some stopping volume on the 5m TF. As risky as it gets, but have closed shorts now and will not consider more shorts until support gives way.

Risky — Might pay off, but there are good reasons to hold back on ANY entries until at least NY get to their desks. Will pros be selling here? Will the negative GBP sentiment carry through into the US session? Or will they reverse? Too many ...

I've been collecting shorts on the way down and closing them as I see fit. The key today will be to stay cool and not get suckered by such quick moves. Worth bearing in mind ...Auslanco - GBP/JPY and GBP/USD (newstrade)

Expected — High volume selling at news time is to be expected. The question is whether the big boys are merely buying it cheaper now.

Gold — The rules on Gold have changed IMO. It now seems that Gold is now seen as a genuine investment rather than the hedge it's always been. We'll see what the longer term view is, but I think Gold is no longer set for such huge drops. Gold ...

Oh Yes — This is exactly how I'm seeing GY right now. Have been studying the volumes down to the 15m charts and these suggest buying. If we break 149.40, next stop is 150.40 IMO, but staying flexible. I will not consider a short until support ...

Bob Prechter — [quote=OrionsWay;3080638] Well, Bob Prechter agrees. USD demise is too easy a play right now. Long term, NEVER underestimate the durability of the World's biggest economy. Charts may indicate we're going to hell, but what's our ...

The case for longs — OK, everyone can see from my recent posts that I'm long and although there are many reasons for the short bias, there are as many 'excuses' for longs. 200 ema being tested on the 1hr TF. 50 ema being tested on the 4hr TF. ...
