You realize that with the current setup - everybody will be happy (at least when central banks are concerned). The dollar will not get too strong vs pound (Carney will still be cool) and euro, the yen will probably reach above 105 - the Kuroda dream ...

Can't say about E/U (I do not trade it), but cable is pretty overbought and buying it at 1.6xxx is already expensive enterprise for the big money. Some spike is possible to take out tight S/L, but definitely whatever the amount of tapering at Sep or ...

Aside from the GS motives (they were "sure!" the gold will hit 2000$ at Feb-2013). There will be tapering - at least $10-15bn September or October. And the reason dollar is weaken is exactly the market reaction fallout - dollar need to be weak ...

1.68xx for cable in 2 months? Seems pretty stretched...Considering the multi-week rise channel from 1.48xx I doubt it will continue so boldly without some deep pullback first. Stalling at 1.6150-1.6250 seems far more likely.

Yes and no, there are only couple "real" currency pairs and they usually go side by side in major trends. Like the yen depreciation since last October, the Aussie fall, etc. So trading the basket only put more risk - in other words- diversification ...

Seriously, aside from the noise - they might actually "micro-taper".It will probably have limited impact on the currencies. I'm watching the cable - it is possible to stretch up to 1.58xx and then some pullback of 300-400 pips.

No rising trendline though, the hesitation this week is caused by upbeat UK data and the nervousness of the NFP. Just check-out how quickly the spikes are sold back. Trend is most likely south.
