Jfk replied Dec 10, 2011Big improvement on the website. Thought it was a bit too 'black' before. url
LMAX = revolution?!?

Jfk replied Dec 5, 2011I'm using a pretty basic box (Vista 64, 2.9 amd, 6gigs, 7200drive), nothing fancy. Cost about £300 to have built. Works like a charm with MC.

Jfk replied Dec 5, 2011Understand your concerns but I'm using tick charts and my data and execution is spot on. I figure the advantages/ risks here outweigh those 'benefits' of using MT4 /bucketshop combo, Carl

Jfk replied Dec 3, 2011She also informed me that they would have plenty historical data to use for backtesting ideas within a few weeks (I wanted to know if I could use third party data within Multicharts alongside LMAX feed-cannot) and that they would be offering more ...

Jfk replied Dec 2, 2011Nice one. I'm sure if we keep on the case, clean relaible backfill in all formats will arrive for Christmas. Trading Gurus' name is Jim, I think. I'm Dave, by the way.

Jfk replied Dec 2, 2011It's not perfect, guys (yet!) but if I've had a gap in data reloading (Ctrl+r) has sorted it out. I've had no spikes though and I'm on the same build as you, Jim.

Jfk replied Dec 1, 2011In order of frequency, I would say: stop, market then limit. Sometimes I hesitate in a limit and it turns into a market. Sometimes I miss out on a stop and it becomes a limit etc, etc

Jfk replied Dec 1, 2011I've had no issues today. But as in all areas of this business, you have to be on the ball.

Jfk replied Dec 1, 2011Hi Jim. Yes, I do. But the live feed is the one that counts.
LMAX = revolution?!?

Jfk replied Dec 1, 2011I have to second this. Live feed is spot on. I've been comparing the speed and granularity with MBT/ MC DOM and it's a different beast altogether. Taken some live trades with DOM today and if you're a scalper of majors, there is no competition as ...
LMAX = revolution?!?

Jfk replied Nov 30, 2011Yes. All sorts of strategic combos either directly trading the chart or from DOM (this is difficult because of .00001 price movement). I don't think DOM can be customised to .0001 pricing? If anyone knows better please tell.

Jfk replied Nov 30, 2011I've been using MC for a couple of days now and absolutely no problems with eur/aud/usd, tick, time or volume data (I'm using a demo account but the data should be the same). Platform is stable and the order entry tools are very nice.

Jfk replied Nov 27, 2011fxrising, do MB pay rebates on buy/bid and sell/ask? How are you finding the backfill data quality in MC? Thanks jfk
Any ECN broker reliable?
-
Jfk replied Nov 26, 2011As a second choice I'd go with MBTrading. You can use Multicharts DT (free). Commissions are a bit higher than LMAX ('pay for limits' could lower this) but it's only 400 min account. Why not try out the demo with Multicharts DT?

Jfk replied Nov 22, 2011Anyone actually placing trades live with MC's yet? What order entry tools are you using? Using brackets or trailing stops? How are you finding it?
