It was never anything to do with CFTC pressure (directly). MT4/5 were removed from the Apple Store due to them being used to scam (as people always have), primarily due to being involved in so called 'pig butchering' scams. MetaQuotes obviously got ...

It won't be in their control. MetaQuotes will not issue new servers for MT4 and therefore there are capacity risks with props. MT5 is hardly any different. Just a little less shit.

I think it's clear TFT were living month to month or similar with their cash flow. Their programs were / are far too generous to support their ambition to be the biggest firm. Post MFF their cash flow has taken a huge hit and there isn't enough ...

No, cTrader won't accept US clients. This was the case well before MFF and MetaQuotes issues.

Impressive to even get close to a payout on one. cTrader also have an affiliation with them. cTrader also isn't available for US traders. I expect many other platform providers will be rushing to them too given the potential volumes. If US traders ...

I've not looked at them for a while, but my impression was there was pretty much zero chance of getting a payout from them with all the rules / barriers.

I doubt they're more honest than FTMO (first to admit, by years, that things were simulated).

There were also communications that spoke about putting anyone who'd made more than 5% profit to be put on 'the scalping group' i.e. the group designed to make it harder to profit. Plus all the celebrations when news events wiped out 1000s of ...

Spread betting and CFDs are the same thing. It just has a different name and is presented differently i.e. £ per point, not lots. I doubt many, if any props are managing risk like that. MFF didn't. I bet they just have margin accounts and rarely put ...

FTMO CEO said 80% from fees 20% from copying. I don't believe they make 20% copying traders like they claim unless they have some broker-level risk management operation going on where they are hedging net exposure i.e. if there's 10,000 lots net ...

US I don't think it'll ever return. MetaQuotes are too scared of being removed from the App Stores again given how on the radar they are with Apple / Google for being slack and allowing their software to be used in so many scams. Direct licences may ...

The four grounds for the sanctions are pretty small fry (perhaps less so the incorrect naming of the tax millions). An overzealous lawyer during deposition? Grasping at straws with that one and the interview one is even worse. More importantly, ...

It's not that thin (far better than something like the NQ / YM), but you are right about scalping. Brokers don't want the top of the book constantly chipped away at so a small minority make conditions worse for the vast majority. A lot of props are ...

It's obviously the fault of the traders doing it, but I expect the props no longer able / willing to offer MetaTrader will see fewer cheaters.
