A good calculation is multiple all regulatory fines by 10 or better 20 (regulatory fines are on average probably not even 1/10th of the gains from the "actions" and max 1/10 of all actions are fined so it would be more like *100) and deduct that ...

People might want to consider not just how good the capital base of a broker is but also WHY it is so good / how they earned that money. Jason... besides my comments to your wonderful "help" to the community (or was it for yourself? I don't ...

Played out exactly as mentioned. First upside crap since not USD based then broad USD flip M3 upwards and off they went with nice entries based on strong minors supporting USD shift.

Yeah shortterm its about EU holding that 37 or 07 area. If it does we could be looking a lot higher in EU which depending on the minors could push AU up to uncomfortable levels for new shorts. Right now we are looking at usdjpy probably in ...

Until USD turns on at least M3/M5 nothing is set in stone anyways. The current AUD upside is - at the moment - as bad as the downside was so

Yeah well i have to admit i was short AU initially too but bailed quickly at +4 since AUD + CAD are pretty much the strongest -> most crap trade right now. EU was gone though so r/r not decent for me -> no cookies for me. Could kick my ass though... ...

Careful. The money is/was in EU/GU not AU. AU is just getting dragged along. Would need a retrace/flip on the minors first to make it the better trade.

Not anymore. EU, GU, UCAD, NZDUSD flirting with downside. M5/M15 failed upside so far. Nothing set in stone yet though. Would like EU/UCAD longish on M5 first with GU somewhat in line.

TA wise anything can be used. I like to keep it as simple as possible though. The edge isnt necessarily in being 100% right on that single pair but on the broad market. So you want something that you can look at and pretty much make an instant ...
Money flows: Trading the strongest / weakest major currency cross
- unknown4x replied Jul 17, 2012
Hi, well it depends on how you want to apply it. Overall your thoughts are correct but 1) usdjpy was slightly bearish on the daily -> usd weaker -> trade would have been audusd 2) for an audusd - as in usd major trade you definitly want some usd ...

That's where the whole leverage discussion comes from. People not understanding that a proper _intraday_ entry does not move 50 against you. Leverage is only defined by risk aka SL. If your SL is tight your leverage seems to be high with 1% risk, if ...

I think you got something wrong there. I never stated that you should trade that market. I just stated that it is actually impossible to "close" the fx market at any time. I would never trade with Oanda or any of the marketmakers that are so ...
