Too early to say it but with more tapering hype and news gold (starting of tapering) could drop 200 dollar more.

It is still inside an increasing channel, on the low side. Today it stayed quite strong. However it did not show power to go over 1800. Therefore I think still both side can happen, maybe a news can give a push.
