I am not aware of an indicator, however, attached is a script that does what you are looking for. Place the file in the scripts folder. Scott

This thread and the J16 Group has turned my trading around. I first found this thread in early 2006 and have been using PA ever since. I felt like I should give a little back. Attached is an indicator I created and use myself. It alerts me of ...

I pulled this up on my feed to get a better look. It is a great location for a setup, however, I would not consider the bar/candle a PB because it does not have much of a nose at all. If you do take it, looks like the 0.8900 area is the first ...

I would like to welcome you as well. I will be skipping this one as the nose is too short. It pays to be picky. Good PBs have long noses. Looks like a great area for a PA setup though and could get a good one yet. Scott

Ah, I skipped that one because it did not occur at solid resistance. If the BEOB would have occurred at 0.7800, I would have placed an order. Only take PA setups at solid support/resistance levels or price extremes. Your mind will automatically ...

Josh, Which trade was that? I went short a couple days ago on an IB and closed half the trade for about 60 pips when it reached the bar highs at 0.77 and moved my SL to breakeven on the rest to break-even. The second half was closed at break-even. ...

Jim, That is true in my case. I used to try to hit a homerun on every trade which did not work so well for me. Things turned around when I stopped. Sure, the risk/reward ratio may be terrible on many trades but who cares! Scott

This is a pinbar I am passing on as the first resistance I see is 1.43. This market has been almost completely sideways since Nov. 2008. Sideways markets tend to create support/resistance levels very close to eachother. I would classify the pinbar ...

Scott, I am no Mike but have been around for quite a while. I would not touch EUR/JPY because going short would be like trying to run through a brick wall (congestion and support). CHF/JPY does have some room to move, however, I passed on it because ...

Sebastian, The formation is a valid pinbar on my feed. I passed on this one because of the location of the pinbar. There is no solid resistance that caused the pinbar to form that I can see. The location is MUCH more important than the formation. I ...

I recommend watching the latest video uploaded by James located in the Guest section of the James16 Group website. The video should clear things up. Scott

I am not Jarroo but I agree with Mr. T. The pinbar itself was beautiful! The reason I would not trade it is due to the rather sideways move just prior to the pinbar. When a bar setup appears, I determine if the market reaction that created the setup ...

I am passing on USD/JPY and AUD/NZD. Neither pinbar is "A" grade. The nose does not protrude away from price to the immediate left of each and both markets were sideways just before the pinbar formed. Scott

I jumped on EUR/CHF but skipped the rest as they were not in an "A" grade location in my opinion. Thought I would start posting again. Scott

Just to add... the location is much more important than the setup. Look at the price action to the left of the bar. A big choppy mess! Personally, I would have passed on the bar if it did close as a pin bar. Scott

What you can do is open a sub-account and move the amount you would normally risk for this trade only to the sub-account. Next, open a LONG AUD/USD position and a LONG USD/CAD position in the sub-account. The trick is to size each position so the ...

See post 12748 for my thoughts. I had the same thought you have now. I did not take that PB because I believed it was likely that price would reverse in that area. If the PPZ would have been a daily PPZ I would have taken that PB. Scott
