holy crap gbp/jpy just went on a tear...dropped almost 200 pips in about an hour, looks like japanese traders are fleeing the carry trades.

its tempting to short usd/cad right now, but i think i'd hold off until i am sure its not a trend reversal, i think i'm going to wait until it drops to the 1.0450 level. But thats just me, any other opinions?

yep pareto is 80-20, great principle. in either case, there are very few traders that are successful in the end. its not easy, its very hard, and takes a lot more work than most newbies think. just my two cents.

yeah for example oanda is 24/7, although the markets are fairly dead on weekends, and the spreads are increased very high, you can still trade, the spreads go up friday evening and come back down sunday evening.
