zarni replied Aug 15, 2006If they have dealing desk and have fixed 1 pips spread they make their money a different way...think about it. This is bait and scam tactic... There are ECN brokers that provide choice (0) spreads if you want to go that route you would want direct ...

zarni replied Aug 11, 2006Hi shungos, although interesting I have doubt that this is useful per se. It may be but i have doubts. Reason being is the inclusion of the 2 days before closing which essentially means we can have an outlier (significant move in the past 2 days) ...

zarni replied Aug 9, 2006Although you may very well be right I do tend to ignore any intermittent volatility if I am trading fundamentals or generally long term trend. To me FOMC does not mean much when there is no real surprise (short of stealing some pips during the move) ...

zarni replied Aug 8, 2006Do not trade news with brokers like this or better yet get out! Trading news with dishonest brokers with dealing desk is tantamount to flushing your cash down the toilet.

zarni replied Aug 7, 2006It is all a question of timeframe. IMHO the dollar is going puke in the long term no question there. Playing gold based on piece of news coming out is more akin to speculation. If you want to play short term play spot with tight stops.

zarni replied Aug 7, 2006It surprises me how many people still believe elections matter. It DOES NOT matter whether a republican or a democrat is in office. As Mike Ruppert says you can just call them the Genoveses and Gambinos. Regardless of who's in power corporations ...

zarni replied Aug 1, 2006There is no right or wrong answer here. It all comes down to your preference. Generally pick a higher volatility, higher liquidity pair with relatively low spreads with your broker. Cable is usually my choice but that is just my preference.
