I've spent quite a few hours watching the system and observing price action over the past few weeks, and saw ways to improve the system. Still tweaking and testing. EZ

I am still adding features and testing, and will probably release after the New Year once trading volume is normal and I can test it more. Right now with these large moves, it is doing well. Wondering how it will do in normal markets. There are so ...

Yep, valid signal. My EA has a filter though to not take trades when price is below weekly S2 (83.64). The probability is the price won't close below that for the week (from analysis I did in the past). It can happen ... but statistically not that ...

AUDNZD long opened by EA. NZD missing GDP estimates support weak NZD so strong AN. Trading rules modified a bit (new EA won't look at daily pivot compared to previous daily pivot). Quite a few other features should minimize the whipsaws and losses, ...

Yep. Of course I would never do that with a real account, but on demo wanted to see how it fares.

I'm testing the version of the EA, and it held its own overnight (no loss/gain in equity). It took many small losses on some trades, but now in some trades for + pips (EU long for 45 pips, AJ short for 25 pips, etc.) so overall no change in equity. ...

When I trade live I will set the EA to manually exit at swing highs, or confluence in pivots. This can't be backtested ... only real time testing works for this. EZ

Woke up to another bucket of pips! I still need to test this EA and see how it works in non-volatile conditions before trading live. image EZ

I don't think its a big problem to prove/disprove if the daily pivot question for a threshold for longs/shorts is difficult. I could probably do it in < 50 lines of code in R. If I have some extra time I'll probably look into it (dependent on the ...

EA doing good: Up about 90 pips on open positions, plus ~50 pips closed out for profit on AUDNZD short after hitting S3. image If trading rules to disregard pivot > prev. day for longs, or < prev. day for shorts ... NZD pairs (NCAD, NCHF, NU, NJ) ...

Obviously that is your trading rule for this system ... but what are the reasons for this? Do you have any statistical analysis to support your trading rule: buy if today's pivot is higher than yesterday's pivot??? Being an engineer ... I like to ...

What do you mean 'an accessory bro?' As per your post #3 in this thread, it is trading rule #1 for longs: 1. Today's pivot is bigger than yesterday's Pivot. Please elaborate. Mahalo, EZ

Hey Cm7 - what is the reason for having the pivot > previous day's pivot for longs? If you look at NZDCAD for example, pivot is below previous pivot (so only shorts), but EMA's are above the pivot. NCAD is up 58 pips from the open, but pivot < prev. ...
