I don't know what that has to do with anything. He seemed like he only wanted to use MT4. Some people are just more comfortable with a certain platform or maybe he has custom indicators written on it. Not sure what DESKTOP PRO has to do with him.

Bit of advice... Put $400 in a Live MT4 account. Don't trade it. Just use that for your charts. Demo will go down occasionally and thus have a price gap. They usually plug the gaps over the weekend. But you won't see that in live. Then you can trade ...
