Clansman replied Aug 15, 2007Cornflower. — I have tried both systems. I prefer the Cornflower system. I watch 6 currency pairs when I trade. I use the 1H, 30M, 15M, and the 5M charts. I use MACD (for divergence only) on the 1H and the 15M charts along with pivot points. ...

Clansman replied Aug 15, 2007Thanks Matrixxdg. I understand, it is especially frustrating when your stop is hit and price then turns around and proceeds to move another 20 to 30 pips before finally stalling out. I prefer to keep my stop line in my head while I am trading (I ...

Clansman replied Jun 15, 200715M & 5M TF's — Hello -f, I have been experimenting with the 8-24 cross on the 15M and 5M charts. So far the results have been mixed (though more profitable than not.) Some of the nonprofitable trades were the result of my not waiting for ...

Clansman replied May 23, 200715M chart entry. — Well , I see after I took my pips and left, the EUR and GBP turned around and made two good runs. The Cornflower 15M charts with the 8/24 cross gave clear entry signals for both currencies. One would have made a bit over 150 ...

Clansman replied May 23, 200715M chart for entry. — I have been using the 15M chart for a while now (see post #134) using all 4 of the ema's on the chart. I tried using the 8/24 cross tonight. I went short on the EUR/USD and GBP/USD. Made 23 pips on the EUR and 12 pips on ...

Clansman replied May 8, 2007The name Clansman refers to my Highland heritage, not to be confused with the Klan from the South. I am a descendant of Rob Roy (either a hero or a freebooter, depending on who's version of history one chooses to believe.) I prefer to wear a kilt to ...

Clansman replied May 8, 2007I switched to the 15M instead of the 30M. The 8ema crossed the 12ema at my central pivot point, then both crossed the 24ema. Went short on the GBP/USD at 1.9940. TP at 1.9920 after price passed my S1 pivot. The 15M seems to work well for my eyes.

Clansman replied May 6, 20074HR Charts — Lever70, Thanks for sharing your system. I still am working on getting the timing down, so I am still leaving pips on the table. I use pivot points as well, which does help with the timing. However, as with all things, it will ...

Clansman replied Apr 16, 2007Hello Vantage, Good luck in your trading. Your goals are reasonable. Unless I miss my guess, it sounds like you are speaking about Peter Bain's program. I took Peter's course some 15 months ago. I'm sorry I didn't know about him 4 years ago when I ...

Clansman replied Apr 12, 2007Maybe adding a RSI or Stochastic to your chart, would give the added support to the PSAR. Scrat has had success with using a PSAR and RSI (set to 5) as part of his 15M TF system. url Spudfyre has a great thread on the use of Stochastics. url ...

Clansman replied Apr 7, 2007Hello Spud, I tried your entry on Friday for the GBP/JPY. Put 28 pips in my account. In hindsight, I should have waited a little longer. The 15M, 30M, and the 4H agreed, while the 1H didn't. It finally came around, but not before I sat through a ...

Clansman replied Apr 5, 2007I agree WTB, where the formations occur is whats important. I use pivot points in my trading, and look for the formations around the points. Those same points are also used to determine price targets. Regards, Clansman

Clansman replied Apr 4, 2007I just came across this thread. I've used candles for years. In the early days I had to learn as I went along (nothing like paying for misreading a candle pattern to get your attention.) This thread does a good job of explaining the patterns. Thanks ...
