Vermillion commented Oct 7, 2014Well, it's official. Buy shorts on USD/CAD and with TP at 1.118 ish. Maybe hold onto a few for later, but given the strong Ivey PMI, I'd stick with 1.118 for now and wait to cash in on pullbacks and corrections.

Vermillion replied Oct 3, 2014Why would it hold? The recent correction for the USD occurred when the overall state of the dollar was healthy (overspeculated, but still very good). When you put 3 consecutive high profile events bullish for the dollar, it's obvious you're going to ...

Vermillion replied Oct 3, 2014Possible. I don't recommend holding positions over the weekend unless you've got hefty margins.

Vermillion replied Oct 1, 2014I'm almost the same as you. I'm focusing on the three main figures: 109.3, 109.5, 109.6/109.7 My stance is fairly obvious to most people, but this is how it goes. Right now, if you all would direct your attention to the ADX (average directional ...

Vermillion replied Oct 1, 2014Now the question I have is this: up to what point will the USD/JPY retrace until the next major USD event (unemployment claims)? The unemployment claims is due in the next 18.5 hours, and the USD/JPY opened up with a daily low of what, 108.86? Where ...

Vermillion replied Oct 1, 2014You...longed at 109.9? How much did you buy, and how much leverage do you have remaining? No offense, but buying near 110 was suicidal, even under bullish assumptions. At any rate, I recommend you check unemployment data, consumer index, and other ...

Vermillion replied Oct 1, 2014Still live and kicking.....unless it hits around 108.7. Considering to withdraw some more funds to keep it afloat, but below 108.85.......that might mean another bearish drop.

Vermillion replied Oct 1, 2014And now we take a dip below 109. Now's a great time to buy in right now, but I'd be risking my main trade...... Choices, choices.

Vermillion replied Oct 1, 2014I'm not worried about the bearish trend dying by the asian session (this pair has continuously tried to establish a solid bearish momentum and failed) What I'm concerned is the slight (but nonetheless possible) event of a shakeout that reaches ...

Vermillion replied Oct 1, 2014I'm currently sitting on my 109.6. The market'll have to dip to 108.80 before I'll have to close my trade. It'll likely stop at 109.2-109.0, but I'm adding those 20 extra pips as a measure against shakeouts. Still, if I don't like the hourly chart, ...

Vermillion replied Oct 1, 2014This isn't market making. This is just overeager bulls on the dollar suffering for entering the market late at a time of uncertain results for announcements. You NEVER want to buy just because others are buying; you also have to consider other ...

Vermillion replied Oct 1, 2014That's why I said "subject to modification". We have another major news coming in about an hour or so. Don't worry, I plan on milking this pair for all its worth....or at least until it reaches 110.6

Vermillion replied Oct 1, 2014Agreed. Reloading at 109.6 and 109.5, TP at around 110, subject to modification depending on chart progress. 40-50 pips in profit isn't bad, no?

Vermillion replied Oct 1, 2014Because the dollar was overspeculated in favor of the long. If you look at the RSI for the USD/JPY, it stayed at almost overbought levels for an hour. This was because everyone expected the announcement to be bullish, not neutral. Once you fail to ...

Vermillion replied Oct 1, 2014USD/JPY down. I repeat, USD/JPY down. Somehow, my short at 109.9 actually made it. Wow. Set up to reload between 109.5 and 109.2.

Vermillion replied Oct 1, 2014I agree. Shakeouts are surprisingly frequent, and stopping just around major resistance/supports often lead to closed trades. I always leave at least 20 pips of breathing room even for the intraday trades that I check minute by minute.

Vermillion replied Sep 30, 2014Just woke up after a small nap. Bah. Bad timing. Currently waiting on a small decline in the USD/JPY before reloading...hopefully around 109.85 or lower, depending on the progress. Definitely will not go below 109 unless some unexpected announcement ...

Vermillion replied Sep 30, 2014It's probably going to test the 109.2 margin in the hours to come. The consumer confidence results aren't THAT important enough to warrant an extreme sell off given that we've already had the pair drop almost to oversold levels just prior to the ...

Vermillion replied Sep 30, 2014Of course not. We reached 109.84 right before a major event, and the RSI on the 5min mark showed that the pair was continuously overbought (also on 15min and 30min). Shorted on 109.84, waiting to see if it'll hit 109.2-3 before the consumer ...
