ha-pattern replied Aug 6, 2010You have an immeasurable gift, being able to do mm so well. Boredom (similar to demotivation, I'd guess) is indicative of this. Many others and (, still on demo,) I would give our eye teeth for this. It's also nice that you don't like scalping, do ...

ha-pattern replied Aug 6, 2010The market's not random, it's just difficult to interpret. "Down" is not exact. Rarely does fundamentals get exact (stocks,). Technical analysis is exact and, with enough skill, tells the chartist where price goes within a reasonable certainty. A ...

ha-pattern replied Aug 5, 2010higher TF's or lots of 1'TF screens — Recently, I posted a few times on the use of higher TF's. Don't ask me why, I'm no expert, the occasion just appeared. So now, I feel compelled to include their significance in my method. Maybe it'll help. ...

ha-pattern replied Aug 5, 2010I like this method, too; been using it on demo. It fails one of ten or twenty times: Check it on paper (that is, an offline chart or an older online chart with MT4's 'autoscroll' off) or download and use a simulator (LFH, VHands or the for-pay Forex ...

ha-pattern replied Aug 4, 2010Yes, and pre-trade study and trade only the 1' TF. A bunch of 1' TF charts is still a higher TF. Same # of pips to earn, a potential of higher leverage each.

ha-pattern replied Aug 4, 2010(old) Just another method dump. simulator: I was having trouble coordinating angles and TL's together, so that it threw off any chance I had of understanding the overall flow of a reasonably large (1'TF) area. On the plus side, I got much better at ...

ha-pattern replied Jul 30, 2010Okay, enough. With one or two hours of simulator warmup, I can pretty much wipe the floor of forex. Except. Big runs/drops. So, I devote my time to them. (Don't want to, enjoy the noted action. Oh. I can do so even MORE?! Okay, then.) I got two ...

ha-pattern replied Jul 29, 2010I posted this a while ago: One can view round numbers as Fibonacci's. The Golden Angle, 137.5 degrees brought around the circle gives you 137.5-0=137.5 137.5-90=47.5 180-137.5=42.4 270-137.5=132.5 360 degrees = 0 degrees, so 137.5 again In ...

ha-pattern replied Jul 25, 2010We have a miscommunication. I meant that slippage is a possible solution, not the problem, in a fast market. Big orders may be anywhere, so widening one's reach 4 or 8 pips to hit one helps. The reason for the late fill, I'd think, summarizes as ...

ha-pattern replied Jul 25, 2010MBT's description of Navigator at their site says they have sell stop limits. What bothers me is it also says they don't allow a 'discretionary' price range for forex, and their competitor (unless MBT objects to this phrase) FXCM Micro does. So in a ...

ha-pattern replied Jul 23, 2010The indicator shows, among other things, when price tends sharply on both sides of the zero line (and nothing else happening on either side of the tending on the chart area). Thus, it also finds patterns to draw significant TL's from. (1,2) Thanks.
