For the ABCD's you need to look for continuation divergence. Look at the charts that Alan has posted about these to get an idea and let us know if anything is unclear.

Good observation. In this case I had actually closed that long on the way down so wasn't even looking for a HD at that point. In my mind though it did not invalidate a future signal doing the same thing.

Played it long from that D point for 10 as we had RSI div, and got out for a quick scalp at MA resistance. Then the reliable HD came along to make up the balance for today. image

PA after HD's is often like that so you have to practice to be quick on the trigger. Stuffed up my hedge as price gapped up about 2 pips just as I put in the order!! Out of hedge at BE fortunately.
