Just take a look at their economy. The only thing they still produce is financial bubbles. And wars, of course.

No, that title cannot be contested. It is firmly held by Ronald Reagan and George W. Bush. They were the beginning and the accomplishment of the end. They will be the reason when America falls into insignificance and oblivion.

Interactive Brokers, Oanda and Currenex work natively (java) on MacOSX. For charting you can use ProRealtime. Using Wine you can use QuoteTracker, Amibroker, MT4 Using VirtulBox+Windows you can install anything, and works smoothly.

Yes, I am concerned about this. 1.5:1 is a bad joke. Does anyone know if IB could offer forex trough their UK or HK office instead of US? That would seem to me the easiest way around it.

Apokalypto, I agree wholeheartedly. IB is BY FAR the best broker for retail spot FX. Especially for scalping, and especially with BookTrader. It might be confusing at the beginning because of the plentitude of features and possibilities, but once ...

Yes, but if you count round-trip (because you have to open and close a trade in order to make profit) it will double, i.e. it will be more than 1 pip on almost all of them. Please correct me if I am wrong.
Another MT4/ECN broker, any thoughts??

I find IB the best forex broker I know, but only if one has a sufficiently capitalized account. Their system is much more transparent than the retail forex brokers. But for trading anything below a standard lot one is much better off with Oanda.

Hi shrike, I like very much your chart. Is the ability to display bid/ask ticks together as parallel lines of separated dots built into NeoTicker or is it an extra feature? Do you know if NT works also with IB feed? Or is there any other charting ...

Karol, I do not use demo (demo is not relevant anyway, with its artificial feed - paper trading account is better, but I don't use it); I trade live. And I trade Eur/Usd every single day. My P/L is in USD with these trades. The same goes for ...

Here you are mistaken, better check it again. If you trade EUR/USD at IB, your P/L will be in USD, not in EUR. P/L is always in the quote currency. As for converting, just read my post again. It is possible to get around converting. Trading in an ...

I have good experience with ProRealTime charts with live feed. Costs around $50 per month. But I know a lot of people use Ninjatrader with Gain feed for free. Hope this helps.

You have probably not really compared chart movements with quote panel price movements in real time. Just try to close a trade on a rapid spike on the chart when it is not accompanied by the quote panel and see what happens...

I love IB for forex, I find the way it works very logical and shows the underlying market's ways of working. If you buy something that is quoted in CHF like in your example, actually you are buying something for CHF. It is logical, that when you ...

Yo no lo creo. Me informé sobre el asunto. It depends whether you live in Switzerland or not. Even within Switzerland there are differencies between cantons. If you live in Switzerland, yes, this regulation IS enforced. This is a relatively new ...

Don't let the name fool you; Oanda has no real limit orders in the sense of ECNs, exchanges or the SEC. What is called limit order at Oanda (and many other forex market makers) is just a market order triggered at a certain price, that after being ...

For me this is step 0. Do not even think of scalping at any broker if you do not know how. I do not blame Oanda charts, because I do not use them. All I am doing is just warning against using their charts for scalping. Scalping works fine at Oanda ...
