Jkdt replied Oct 2, 2019Please give me some time and hopefuly I will find your post that I was referring to ;-) From my experience it is optimal to use 16 pips for touch trades and about 10-12 for constrainments and bounce trades with small pins involved.

Jkdt replied Oct 2, 2019Technically yes, but I wouldn't trail until the trade developed about min. 10 and max 15 pips, which would have seemed to work this time. But Kostas is right anyway, this trailing doesn not seem to be optimal anyway.

Jkdt replied Oct 2, 2019I remember Kostas you used to trade without stop loss? Do you still do? Did that mean you are not using stop loss formally as a tool but close manually if the trade goes against you certain amount of pips? Best, J.

Jkdt replied Oct 1, 2019Nice entry. But this setup with long wicked bar at the very top after your entry screams to close the trade. Placing a stop just below it also didnt seem like a bad option.

Jkdt replied Sep 30, 2019Throughout this thread you will find tips on when not to trade although a valid setup has just formed - on multiple occasions. Based upon personal preference rather than Dance rules. It could be value adding to have this summed up. No need for ...

Jkdt replied Sep 29, 2019Thanks Guido, this is exactly what I meant by knowing when not to take the trades. Could you (and of course others!) sum up when do you avoid trading although at first it may seem the basic setup of the strategy is in place? Example based upon ...

Jkdt replied Sep 28, 2019Hi, I have been here for a long time, following Choros thread, also participating some time ago, not recently due to lack of time. Now it has changed a bit so maybe I will be putting my few $0.01 here and there again as well as asking some ...

Jkdt replied Apr 13, 2016My fifth trade was a looser, setup on M15 GU 08.04 @11:47 was looking nice but didn't take the counter signal on H4 into consideration. But this one was a winner, 16pips SL, heavy resistance, entered on a second bar with a long wick just under nice ...

Jkdt replied Apr 7, 2016Dnc48, I see your point, but I did use the term "good looking setup" instead of "good setup" for a reason. There may be something very nice forming that you take but then, for example, it goes wrong and you realize the previous swing failed to ...

Jkdt replied Apr 6, 2016Well done. I took similar one, just entered on that first pin. ( url ) Are fibos useful in this strategy? Since many traders use them there probably is something about them. I just try to avoid cluttering my charts with too many levels along with ...

Jkdt replied Apr 6, 2016Done and done! My second trade this week, fourth this month, all in profit for a total of 1x16 + 3x27 = 97pips. That's an exceptional beginning of the month for me.

Jkdt replied Apr 6, 2016That spread is going to get me killed... It reached even 4.3 with no news at all right now, wtf. Had to go with my SL from 16 to 18, which I don't like. Exit rules as above but with TP 27 - that's my max TP if no S/R is in the way.

Jkdt replied Apr 5, 2016Dnc48, I have to disagree. Many of the very good touch setups tend to continue retracing further than 10 pips from you planned entry. If you tend to wait for M5 confirmation than it serves increasing success rate at the cost of R:R. But again, this ...

Jkdt replied Apr 5, 2016Hello, Just my $0,02 about SL: it is all down to your personal preference. I always take touch trades with 16 SL (see historically how that works on M15...), if the setup is very good or extending by another 2 pips allows to take advantage of some ...

Jkdt replied Apr 5, 2016Closed it down at 16 pips profit, 4 pips before the target but lousy PA with those pinbars, long wicks and heavy hesitation legitimized it. 16 pips average on trades that I am not so enthusiastic is way enough I guess. It was risky business selling ...

Jkdt replied Apr 4, 2016Hello all. As for the rectangles that EU mentioned above - I see them often, I see some potential, i.e. entering on a pinbar at the end (hopefuly) of a rectangle, but doesn't a rectangle mean hesitation and ranging? Doesn't that mean that the market ...
