So why not the earlier candle I posted? Is it because price was still above the support level of the London low? Do you always wait for the breakout?

This is a definite sell? 8 pip stop?

Please comment on this set up. It would have resulted in a 6 pip stop out if you'd placed the stop just above the candle high but the price would have then gone in the direction of the trade.

How to Trade the European Central Bank Meeting

I didn't mean it like that at all. I'm an experienced trader but I usually just take one or two trend trades per day. I want to learn CT and scalping techniques to get more pips out of the market. There are some great traders on this thread with ...

Nobody really talks about textbook set-ups on this thread anymore, but if you'd patiently waited all day for your textbook set-up on the EU, you'd have got a good trade.

I wish MT4 had a function where you could set an alarm if price reaches a certain level. I think I'll have to learn how to code EAs because staring at charts for hours is bad for the mind.

Assange, do you just check your charts every 4 hours to see if there's a set-up and then look at the 1H and 15M to confirm? The problem with 15M charts is that it requires too much time in front of the screen. I would love to be able to just check 2 ...

Price was just sitting in the middle of the pre-London range. Take a look what would have happened if you'd traded the same candle on EURAUD instead, which had broken out of the pre-London range and was trending up.

Thanks for that reply. So you wait for price to retreat to near the 10ema and then you look for something like a hammer candle on the 5m chart?
