Its Monday so decided to trade 5 contracts of MES instead of the ES today. Turned out to be more active than I thought, thats the way it goes. 2 closed trades for nice wins, just closed 3rd trade for 1 more win.

Another shitty PA day so far. Got a little bit of a late start. 4 trades 2 small winners , 1 B/E and 1 winner I took because it hit 20 Ticks. So now at least I have 1 decent win.

Today was a real grinder, shitty PA. 2 more trades 1 loser and 1 nice winner. So 7 trades for the day. 2 losers - 8 ticks, 1 B/E, and 4 winners +92 ticks. Today tested me, patience required and that's definitely not my strong suit.

I am not a tech guy. I am a visual one. It's important to me that a chart looks comfortable to me. It helps me be consistent.

Yes Iwan you are right. I am referring to what I set brick size to for Renko bars. But switching to the hybrid candles, Renko/Heiken Ashi doubles that number exactly why I don't know. But I very nuch like the way it works and looks for me.

Now lets look at 4 tick charts. 17 trades TOO many. 7 wins, 7 losses and 3 B/E's for +40 ticks. So I would say the lower the tick size of the candle the more discretion you need to use. 17 trades costs too much in commisions with 40 ticks day.

Heres 10 tick charts. Only 2 trades 1 win 1 loss for plus 38 ticks. Still profitable.

Here I set charts to 8 ticks. So you expect bigger losses/winners and less trades. Which is what we got 5 trades. 3 losers and 2 winners but still a profitable day of +59 tick, even though win rate was 40%
