one good reason is the negative swap is about 3x that of CHFJPY.

yes but you can overcome a lot of the potential drawdown by hedging with a highly correlated pair like CHFJPY.

problem is you're paying the broker spread (about 10 on GBPJPY) each time, although I did open long GBPJPY at 9.59GMT last night and short CHFJPY at 10.01pm, which I thought was a little cheeky!

yes, but I'm not too fussed as I'm short CHFJPY with a ration of 2:1, so drawdown is limited, just collecting swap long term.

I'm beginnign to tire of Interbank's 4 pip spread on cable. I know they say it's only 3 but this is rare for me. May move SRDC over to EURUSD where it seems they stick to 2 more often.
