Any particular reason for closing your short? With the break down at 1.1707 I felt a bit more comfortable to have price come below and I sold at 1.1696.

True, but there are levels before 1.1711. In normal market movement those levels will give out pips. People who trade such levels with pending orders won't like it, especially those who scalp. Well, it's a reality we all need to live with.
