unlv_tj replied Oct 31, 2008I use Oanda as well. What I do is look for a first good target price. If there isn't one close by, I then just go with an arbitrary number (such as 50 pips profit on a daily bar, 20 pips profit on a 4 hour bar). I then put in another order to open ...

unlv_tj replied Oct 31, 2008FXGrinder uses a buffer of 12.5% the length of the Pin bar. I have used this since, and it has worked well for me. It kept me out of all but one of the Pins from August that were counter trend.

unlv_tj replied Oct 30, 2008Thank you ghous. The 4 hour is tricky, because the brokers different times creating different bar formations, and obviously you know this. So I didn't have the same set-up on my MT4 broker. So it makes sense to me, thank you

unlv_tj replied Oct 29, 2008I took the EURUSD TC from 1.2852 (break from short term resistence) to 1.2870. And then half the size trade from 1.2870 to 1.2899. My MT4 broker time moved back one hour over the weekend, which is very helpful for my sleep patterns. Did anyone ...

unlv_tj replied Oct 24, 2008It is tough for me to trade the 5 min system, being I work a full time job, and then I have to sleep during a good portion of the European session. I wake up to look at the 4 hour bars, and they are just crazy right now. I have another 5 min system ...

unlv_tj replied Oct 23, 2008I am staying out of the EURUSD TC formation. Strange time of day, pin bar on the daily, and the 8 and 21 are starting to flatten out. I am typing this so that if I was wrong, I keep my greedy pissed off feelings in check for not taking the trade.

unlv_tj replied Oct 23, 2008I agree PipFox, there are a lot of Pinbars, but I don't like the set-up of any of them, especially as CT trades. I might watch them on the 4H time frame for PA confirmation. The Pin on the Gold looks promising due to the 700 level, but it is at the ...

unlv_tj replied Oct 10, 2008Ugh, I am still struggling. I am over thinking things. I need to back test and accept the fact there will be loses, A LOT of loses. I keep trying to find reasons not to trade, or scaring myself out of trades, so I don't take good set-ups. Even the ...

unlv_tj replied Sep 26, 2008Off to a meeting, ugh. Ryan, 2 questions. I know you start trading daily your time around 8 AM EST (normally) on the 5 minute charts. Do you stop before 3 PM EST, or do you look to trade all the way through until you reach your 2% goal? Did you see ...

unlv_tj replied Sep 15, 2008Thank you for your help. The bar I am talking about is at the start of the big down move on the chart you shared. It is to the left of the big down arrow you drew. There is a bearish outside bar against the BB. It appears to have occured at about 2 ...

unlv_tj replied Sep 15, 2008Ryanmcd, Did you trade only where you have the arrows (during the flat time, all look to be pin bars)? The best trade I see on your chart, is at the start of the large down move there is a bearish outside bar. Would you recommend this trade (bearish ...
