Mr Trend replied Oct 9, 2006I think you need to lay off of the Jim Bean or whatever you folks drink over there.

Brokers dont want us to make money
-
Mr Trend replied Oct 8, 2006I disagree. The point is that typically governments start buying up USD and Gold when turmoil starts. Unless, of course, we have a 9/11 where it hits our soil... And this does affect Europe. DPRK can hit Europe easier than the US.
north korean panic ensues..
-
Mr Trend replied Oct 8, 2006Well you're right to an extent -- as long as you're taking profit early. I just wouldn't trust anything coming out of the DPRK's mouth unless you can find multiple confirmations from seismic activity reports. I use news.google.com myself and I've ...
north korean panic ensues..
-
Mr Trend replied Oct 8, 2006I seriously doubt they did. There was no seismic activity that was detected by anyone in the last 48 hours. Trust me, if it went off, we'd know. It would be totally expected that they would use their media which they control to say they actually set ...

Mr Trend replied Oct 8, 2006No. Oanda is the only (that I know of) broker that offers true 24 hour 7 day a week, 365 days a year trading.
why does oanda do this?
-
Mr Trend replied Oct 8, 2006Because NZ and Austraila are very light volume. It's not until around 8 or 9 EST and well into the Tokyo session do you see spreads being normalized... When there's low liquidity, then the banks can't offer competitive spreads..
why does oanda do this?

Mr Trend replied Oct 8, 2006I'm really happy to hear everyone is going long. I've been short since Friday... and I expect it to hit 1.8650 zone... then I'm bailing out.

Mr Trend replied Oct 8, 2006Yeah, because God knows it's pretty hard to alter performance stats on a website.
What the heck happened to the EUR this AM?
-
Mr Trend replied Oct 8, 2006A lot of guys don't trade during the summer period. Matter of fact, August typically is a bad month to trade overall because all of Europe is off on vacation because of the crazy heat. Literally -- people quit working during that month... I am ...
Learning From Unsuccessful Mouteki Trades - The Search for Filters...
-
Mr Trend replied Oct 8, 2006That's exactly it. Because 95% of most traders are utter newbies and give into all of the marketing crap. It's all in the numbers. I don't blame the brokers one bit... they are smart at reeling in the new suckers. Big business baybeeee....
i got ripped off during the NFP
-
Mr Trend replied Oct 7, 2006Sure you could. It's all relative. You're probably going to make the same amount of money. 200 pip stop but you make 1000 pips is the same as 30 pip stop, but making 150... and that's about the equivalent of what you would have to do... Kinda like ...
Mouteki with other time frames?

Mr Trend replied Oct 7, 2006If you used Oanda, you wouldn't have this problem.

Mr Trend replied Oct 7, 2006I have to honestly ask -- how long have you been trading to make a claim like that? I doubt very long. eSignal is known by most folks who have actually made any money in this game to be one of the industry leaders in what you can do with charts. ...
Anybody have esignal software
-
Mr Trend replied Oct 7, 2006There are a lot of annoying spikes with their feed. It depends on what kind of strategy you have. If you are a daily guy, then you're ok. The only reason I stick with eSignal is because it has my charts I like -- Point Break bars. Other than that, ...

Mr Trend replied Oct 6, 2006See folks, this is exactly why a lot of you are probably not consistent. I know this sounds harsh, but you know that you can't predict the market, so who cares where it's going to go... I for one am short based on my swing trading strategy... the ...

Mr Trend replied Oct 6, 2006It ain't so.
Actually, I didn't want to say anything because I didn't want to make people feel worse than they already do today, but I obviously took quite a bit of cash from some folks today...
I made 5-8 pips on the up spike, BE on the down ...NFP 10/6
-
Mr Trend replied Oct 6, 2006How long have you been trading? Oanda is one of the most reliable platforms. Today was the first day it has froze on me. Compared to other complaints of brokers in the past, that's pretty good. Unless you've been trading for awhile with them, don't ...
Oanda issues... again
-
Mr Trend replied Oct 6, 2006Exactly. What's 150 a month for the right tools? I paid for an eSignal subscription for awhile before I ever got consistent... but I knew that was money well spent...
