agent6488 replied Jun 4, 2010I don't understand where the divergence is occurring. MACD bars seem to be following price perfectly in all the examples. Pullbacks and resumptions are not divergence, are they? Are we just looking for resumptions?

agent6488 replied Jun 2, 2010Ditto on the above. I didn't fully understand the qualifiers from post #1, especially the ones about "pressure." Maybe a chart diagramming each qualifier? Edit: Found a pdf through google that explains things... looks like post #26 has the same pdf. ...

agent6488 replied May 28, 2010Also looks good for a partial win. Is giving some re-entries currently. Had a lot of signals in the opposite direction. Would have had to rely on looking for breaks of S/R.

agent6488 replied May 28, 2010I missed these. Thumbs up on these entries in theory though? First one could have been a break even, but moved enough for a partial win or early exit. Second one is currently working out.

agent6488 replied May 27, 2010Seems like there was some dissent on the success rate of this system. Are there traders here consistently successful when using consolidation, fast breaks, and S/R with this time frame?

agent6488 replied May 27, 2010I'm also seeing some issues when I load up the 5 profile with missing charts and charts not displaying Renko, missing the Renko bars or displaying different types of bars (range style on EURUSD). How do we set up manually? I don't even see an ...

agent6488 replied May 27, 2010Fakeouts — Thanks for sharing the system. I was a fan of parts of THV. Also like Renko. Seems like you are pretty consistent with this setup. How do we filter fakeouts like these? The second one even had confirmation on 13. Could you explain ...

agent6488 replied May 26, 2010Renko Range bars do nothing when I drag the indicator onto a chart. Have had the issue before with RenkoLiveChart 3.2. 3.0 worked so I just used that. Would like to know what I'm missing though to get the others to work. Desander's template does not ...

agent6488 replied May 21, 2010Started taking a closer look at M5 after your post. Seems to work well with a break, a little retrace to ALF and a continuation. 24,24,15 seems to filter out the retraces. Maybe take a look at 24,24,5 for more active entries. Good spin on the ...

agent6488 replied May 21, 2010By request, regarding post #1037 — Details on my set up. HMA at period 14. TVIs at 8,8,5 and 24,24,5. Overlay 2nd TVI by opening the Nav window with Ctrl+N and dragging a second TVI over the first's window. ALF at 20,1,4.

agent6488 replied May 20, 2010I tried limiting period restriction by using Renko, but it's a little wonky. The Hull MA moves similarly to the TVI, but I think it's period based. Thanks for the thread. Good luck.

agent6488 replied May 20, 2010I've observed that when the ALF is steep with a trend price will ride it in the same way that occurs in bollinger band and MA trading. It contains the retraces until a significant retrace/reversal becomes likely as you mention.

agent6488 replied May 20, 2010M1 action — 18 pips AUD/JPY. Felt out the M15 range and took a scalp short in M1. Quick TP since M15 wasn't really agreeing. Good tactic for when the trend isn't clear and the higher time frame TVI is idling.

agent6488 replied May 19, 2010Lou — Not using the TVI candles: I passed on those because I like using multiple TVIs, and being able to watch the TVIs move or not move on candles that are going against the indications. Regret: I think it's good you put all the different ...

agent6488 replied May 19, 2010My TVI line gets broken up and/or has color that doesn't match slope at certain volatile areas. Switching to another time frame and then back to the one that was garbled has been setting things straight. A lot of indicators of this nature do that ...

agent6488 replied May 19, 2010Was noticing a lot of M15 moves back towards ALF line before continuation of breaks/moves/trends. This definitely applies to M1 as well. Using a 20,1,4 ALF and 24,24,5 TVI helps catch moves and filter moves respectively.

agent6488 replied May 19, 2010I think it was about 10 pips or so. I am using the M2 just as an extension of M1. I'm looking for candle signals after reading through the James16 and Ken/EO threads that Lee recommended. Sometimes 2 candles combined can form a signal like a pinbar.
