I don't understand where the divergence is occurring. MACD bars seem to be following price perfectly in all the examples. Pullbacks and resumptions are not divergence, are they? Are we just looking for resumptions?

I've observed that when the ALF is steep with a trend price will ride it in the same way that occurs in bollinger band and MA trading. It contains the retraces until a significant retrace/reversal becomes likely as you mention.

Was noticing a lot of M15 moves back towards ALF line before continuation of breaks/moves/trends. This definitely applies to M1 as well. Using a 20,1,4 ALF and 24,24,5 TVI helps catch moves and filter moves respectively.
