@BestTraderEv -- nice to see there is a spark lurking behind those old bones. Can you imagine the havoc we could wreck together if we were to combine our insults? Would you mind if I invited @FundedCoffee to join us? We could straighten out FF real ...

@Brambilla -- they are all dynamic buffers and all created equal. There is no such thing as a "standard" buffer. Dynamic buffers use different IDs -- some are displayed and some are not. There is no difference between the buffers used by the ...

I suspect he may be using one of those prebuilt EAs where you input a BufferID and it then does the rest -- i.e. doesn't involve any coding. Perhaps @Brambilla could clarify.

Then I don't understand. The different values in BufID [13] include every possible state the indicator could be in. The values 1,2,-1,-2 are the magic sauce and they are all in one BufID. What more could I add? Just to be clear -- BufID [13] is not ...

You didn't. I was exaggerating and used your post as an opportunity to make the point that though peeking at other time frames has its benefits, it can also be taken too far -- in my opinion. I kind of used you as a "Strawman" to make a point that ...

Sir -- as one who excels at and enjoys rattling chains I think you and @BestTraderEv have a lot more in common than you realize -- and that's from reading between the lines. In addition to trading, @BestTraderEv is a master coder -- which comes in ...

Below pertains to my OIY-PlanetX-Line-v7.0 indicator. If you are using one of the PlanetAwesome indicators then you would need to check with @BestTraderEv. The Transition-Markers have to have a value of '0' in order to be drawn along the '0'-line. ...

Yes -- of course. Then please address my concern... I'm swing trading on H1 where swings are approximately 3-8 bars. When I look to M1 there will be 60 bars spanning the most recent H1 period. Those 60 bars may display 10 or more "swings". I'm ...

When Swing trading H1 my inclination would be to use H4 because there are 4 H1 bars embedded in an H4 bars. I think D1 is too big. If Swings are 3-8 bars then D1 could contain more than one swing and could be misleading. That is, when Swing trading ...

Right -- how to define overall trend... In my post above I was referring to the magenta circle and was a bit sloppy in substituting "trend" for "price action". It's my first mistake -- ever. And you can verify that with my wife...

On a more serious note, is it fair to say that when the overall price action is bearish then you are more inclined to trust an oscillator's SELL signal? And this makes sense, right? When, if ever, would you trade against the overall price action? ...

Since you are using Renko charts that use offline data and since I don't test Renko then it's hard for me to comment. Using normal charts I have not seen Bar[1] change. I thought we solved the problem of Bar[0], [1], [2] "repainting"...
