I know the active trader platform is pure NDD/STP .. but this wasn't done on the Active Trader platform. I do trade on a pure ECN. Though you can't beat the spread on some of the bucketshops.. (ie, Oanda) I agree with everything here, except that I ...

There are varying degrees of trust. I certainly trust my bank more than I trust a forex broker, and thus I have 100x money in the bank versus the broker. I suppose you might be right, you're not seeing slippage, and I should give them a run. I ...

The question is, and I'd like to seem some transparency around this, is are we seeing the exact same slippage past TP orders as we are past SL orders? Unless we get transparency around that, I think complaining about slippage is fully justified.

SFX ... How can this possibly work? If I put up 5 lots and the market gaps 238 pips, how could your broker possibly afford to guarantee my 5 pip stop loss? Nobody is immune from slippage.

I think you guys need to learn a thing or two. This wasn't caused by the BOE or any 'news release' he could have looked up. It was caused by the sudden rumor that Brown was going to resign. I think his concern is reasonable. When there is massive ...

Slippage is much worse in the equity markets. 135 pips isn't a big deal if you didn't use leverage.

Unless the NFA enforces this by making brokers publish their slippages #s, it will not happen. There is very little incentive for brokers not to attempt to profit from slippage against TP orders.

Why isn't Oanda dropping? Do they not have to pay tax? I'm curious as to why they're allowed to count the money as net capital when they such massive payables. Don't those creditors have higher precedence than clients? Do we get paid before the tax ...

Let me guess, it was at 5am PST 8 AM EST during the big move there. What caused that anyways? FOMC Dudley? Weird. It was this I bet: Thu Jun 04 2009 05:00:00 GMT-0700 (Pacific Daylight Time) FX NOW! GBP, USD, Flows - Rumour that Gordon Brown has ...

What time did they close the trade, so we can look it up on charts to make sure it was a legitimate market move and not an FXCM bug. Nobody can guarantee a stop loss, except perhaps for a limited amount of money. That's just fundamentally ...

135 pip slippage on a stop loss .. eek. Hmm, what was the currency pair and time? Did this sudden market move happen in other brokers? Did anyone see a 135 pip slippage past their take profit last night?? Somehow I doubt it.

Yeah, it'd be nice to know. If it was a dividend, that's one thing, but if it was simply dealing with moving markets, then that's a problem, because another one of those months and suddenly FXCM is out of business.

While your total pip loss may have decreased, your loss in USD has increased. This is because the NZD has depreciated against the USD. FXCM has a good explanation for this: Exchange Rate Fluctuations (Pip Costs) Exchange rate fluctuations, or "Pip ...
