if you take into consideration net positioning of both commercials aka major corporations and non commercials aka banks their positioning is more longs than shorts...52.5 % longs and 47.5% shorts...but that is not a correct way to put this out as ...

major corporations are net long...they do not matter much since they are not in the market to speculate but hedge their currency exposure... on the other hand, non commercials , in other words banks which takes speculative positions are net ...
