Yeah the middle is a dead zone for opening new trades. I agree and think it's a better indication to open trades when price comes back out of the SMA zone.

It's like any other typical MA system. It's great if you catch the beginning of a trend, but in consolidation it doesn't work, lots of false signals obviously.

For a buy, Your TDI cross occurred below the 38, I believe you have to wait until a cross above it or bounce off the red occurring above the 38. If you were looking to sell, your green is the complete wrong angle for the cross. And where is your MBL? ...
