nonlinear replied Apr 12, 2017So something changed in 2014 that made this system have more of an edge than years' past. Does anyone have any idea what that might be? Here is a graph of different settings in 2015: image And here is the same graph from 2012: image One can see ...

nonlinear replied Apr 12, 2017All default, except timeframe, fast, slow, and trade level. There was a ton of discussion on FF about currency strength indicators like this one years ago. It is good to understand how it works so you know what the inputs do, at least roughly.

nonlinear replied Apr 12, 2017The best I could get out of 2012 (i really mean april, 2012-april,2013) thus far was about 5200 pips but with an equal DD. That was with a vanilla 1500 basket TP/SL. Using individual SL/TP and trailing basket stops lessens the DD somewhat, but 2012 ...

nonlinear replied Apr 12, 2017You have it correct. Those are the CCFp inputs, which will have a dramatic affect on results, even more so than hour open/close, at least on the weekly system. If one steps back and views this system, it basically does well, when pairs follow their ...

nonlinear replied Apr 11, 2017I am still testing, trying to find a range of settings that work consistently over many years. Not so easy. I do not think the hour open time is that critical -- the CCFp and SL/TP targets are though.

nonlinear replied Apr 2, 2017Hey all, I have been too busy to post here and have not read the thread in a while, but wanted to report that I am still testing this, mostly offline now. I hope to report back in a few weeks, slow going. Best trading to everyone.

nonlinear replied Mar 14, 2017Frustrating, as the potential is there. I wonder if we should just test on individual pairs in mt4 over many years to help gauge the best CCFp settings. If there is an edge in a single pair that can be replicated across multiple pairs, then perhaps ...

nonlinear replied Mar 14, 2017I have been looking at the development of the various CCFp indicators. As many know, the indicator settings will greatly affect trading on weekly baskets. Given that we are working with weekly bars, I am wondering if we would be better off setting ...

nonlinear replied Mar 14, 2017Looking at Tiivaa's charts, the entries look random to me -- testing on mt5 would help provide much guidance. mg3d, I thought FerruFx made that specific mt4 indicator, but I am not sure he released the code - respectfully, perhaps pull that down and ...

nonlinear replied Mar 13, 2017Could anyone clarify how the profit lock and trailing functions work? If one sets proft lock at 500, with a 200 trail, what happens at 500 pips in profit? If profit hits 520 pips and then retraces to to 500, what happens? Does it close out? Or is ...

nonlinear replied Mar 13, 2017Scalprobot, how are you able to get high quality tick data into MT5? I always thought this was a significant limitation of MT5, but I heard that metaquotes was looking to fix this. In the US we can now get a free MT5 demo from AMPfutures, but back ...
