kharvell replied Feb 6, 2007Sounds good. USD/JPY bar didn't touch my BB so i will stay out of it most likely. I still think we should all just use our own data and as long as it applies to the system, take the trade. Here's my graph:

kharvell replied Feb 5, 2007Hey guys, Great posts today! If I wasn't exhausted after my 12 hour day, my replies would be a bit longer, but I hope you can understand. These replies should sum up most of the discussion. If the bar touches the resistance and closes in the main ...

kharvell replied Feb 4, 2007Agreed. Once my spread lowers I will BUY 2 lots of USD/CHF. My method does not care whether the BB bands are squeezing or not. In backtests, I only took trades that followed the entry set ups. Even if it was NARROW. Odds are this is going to break ...

kharvell replied Feb 4, 2007Ahhh... I see! Well in that case I would probably enter later this evening on Sunday Market open, since it will be the same as selling at the close on Friday. I would go ahead and sell 2 lots and take profit at the SMA on one for a handful of pips. ...

kharvell replied Feb 4, 2007Not as far as the method is concerned. I mean, there's always possibility for losses, but it is an entry signal nonetheless. Green or red, we take the entry. Kevin

kharvell replied Feb 4, 2007My backtests include bars that solely touch the resistance bands and close in the main channel, too. So to answer your question, yes, it is entirely possible to have only one bar be your entry signal, as long as it closes in the main channel.
