ThisPip commented Oct 25, 2011@sidhujag , only a fool is trading long with stop loss. I know it is against the books, but with the quick fast swings you get stoped out always. Therefore, calculate your risk, go in small, and LET IT SIT DURING AFTER HOURS. ;-)

Thanks Yuchen, i try. It is midnite here, i stay up the nite, and if it wont happen, i will get out with the positions that are not at BE.
This way, if markets fall tomorrow, i wont be affected. That's the theory.

You can trade that, but i advise to do this with Mental Stop Far below, because if you use regular stops, the SL hunters will love to get it on USDYEN. and all other YEN pairs speculating for BOJ.

One of the reasons for that spike is most likely the Stock market index option expiry day today. It is on every third Friday of the month. The time of expiration is 13:00 Frankfurt time, that fits with the spike. Hence the US index futures are still ...
