Hi frankn, Can you show your stopping vol on the H1. I see some around the 3440 level but we then broke below but no more volume around 3412 as it pushed up back to 3440.

shakeout? — as mentioned earlier in response to pres78 i find reading H4 charts difficult. Took another look at the H1 and M15 charts, and indeed this down move does look more like a shakeout. I would appreciate comments on my analysis. The ...

yep, agree this is a tough area. Daily pivot between yesterday's and today's current POC. Plus overlapping value areas. Plus were at the bottom of the hourly uptrend channel with volume coming in. Its times like this where sheep get slaughtered

Can't say i agree with you. Volume on my live acct and demo acct (2 different brokers) show decreased volume on the last complete H4 bar as it went up near the high. The FXCM (demo acct) volume on the left is drastically lower when compared to the ...

i don't believe it is a VSA term. I use it as a way to identify S/R levels. Theory is that when there is a lot of activity at a certain price level, that level is a S/R level. Most times you can spot these levels as price consolidates around the POC ...

Point of Control. its the price range/value where there is the most volume for the day. search for the marketprofile indy on this thread if you are using MT4. It will show you the profile of volume distribution and draw a line at the price where the ...

1.34796. close enough
since that last post it seems EU has fallen thru the POC and this 15M bar looks like testing of it failed so we should keep going down. Which is great as I'm looking for a long entry around 1.3440-60 areavsa with Malcolm

Couldn't agree with you more. This thread is great! So much good information here to learn from. It's actually quite dangerous, because i think I now spend more time trading and learning to trade than I do at my real job! That's the price i'm ...

yep, I saw that UT (or 2-bar reversal UT) nd the ND 2bars prior. you have more guts than i do however, I personally didn't want to risk a short on EU now as i find it too risky for my liking. Plus the entry was only about 10 pips above today's POC ...

i'll be the first to admit i could be really off base here, but let me play devil's advocate anyways in the spirit of learning. If EU has been in accumulation phase since early december, would SM really want it lower? Accumulation occurs for large ...

i took that same trade, and in hindsight can answer why i took it. Greed and brain fart. i unfortunately still make those mistakes from time to time when greed sets in and trade counter trend. working on eliminating that from my trading. on the ...
