Yes, I believe you are have it. Since you are short, you take profit off only the oldest, or most profitable lot on an impulse down when it is most profitable. Those pips aren't yours yet, but you have a little better than a 50/50 chance of keeping ...

Yea, I got burned trying to jump right back into this trade after making a great profit last week. It was a little burn, but still, once burned, twice shy. I'll want to be very sure it's returned to longer term trends to try it again. G

Hi Keith. You can hold the trade until you have a good pre-determined reason to exit. That might be that you have hit a stop loss that you set going into the trade. NEVER increase your stop loss while in a trade. You can close because you have hit a ...

Hey MarshalMax. Yes, yesterday didn't give any entries. Reversals in the USD cost me a few pips. I was a little impatient to go long USD so early in the week and the market punishes impatience harshly. Entering ACad long now as it satisfies my ...

Hey Needy! Great to see you here. Yes, the USD collapsed early this week with profit taking. I'm down a little for the week. This is the reason to wait until the markets have had a turn at the price before taking trades. It's a good rule. Couldn't ...

STEP 2: PULLING THE WEEDS I said in an earlier post that I thought I could identify a bad trade before it went more than 30 pips against me. That's pretty optimistic, but let's see how well I can do. The goal is to eliminate weak trades as soon as ...

STEP 1: BUILDING A BASKET Market is open, scanning for entries. Sometimes I'll come up with no possible entries. That's ok. I wait for the market to come to me. Today there are several. I come up with 6 possible entries, all of which look pretty ...

These days, I'm usually swing trading. For the most part, I enter trades early in the week like Monday and Tuesday, hold them until I make 3 to 5% and sell them before the weekend. On some occasions I enter on Tuesday and my week is done by Wed. ...

Exited EU short and UJ longs for nice pips this morning. Wanted to just take profit on UCad long, but it was moving steadily in my favor so I set a 30 pip trailing stop on it and just let it run a bit. I've already locked in more than my 5% profit ...

MarshalMax, I think this is the post you are referring to? This is quite different than what I do, so I'd have difficulty in evaluating it. It would take lots of backtesting and trading under many different market conditions for me to make any ...

Thanks Lemna. Yes, looks like the dollar slaughter is about over. I'm getting good signals now on both UCad and UJ long. Trying a second lot on UCad now, and if UJ can maintain it's recovery I'll probably go in there as well. My EU short rode ...
