i may miss the trade, but waiting to see if that volume actually stops the down move, waiting for a higher low.

ok, maybe 'good volume' was a bit exaggerated
but generally i'm seeing decreasing volume as EU moves down, with some small volume spikes on down bars that close off the low. So looks like some buying, but nothing that really stands out. So i'm ...vsa with Malcolm

true, but isn't background most important in these situations? We can presume wild moves starting at around 2:10PM Eastern today due to FOMC, but knowing what was happening before hand should help us be on the right side after those shakeouts, no?

we seem to be getting some good volume now at 3660-70 area - which was solid resistance yesterday. Let's see if it's now solid support. Also the hourly chart is coming off on lowering volume, so we may be nearing a possible pop up? Not a very ...

eu weakness — Does this look weak to anyone else? UHV up bar with next bar down, ND, 2-bar UT as indicated. My issue is the down bar after the UVH bar looks like a test as well, but maybe a failed test as we've just broken the low. Any ...

same problem here, i need to refresh manually for the volume to update. Its a royal pain in the ... not sure if its the ForexCharts application itself, or forex.com implementation/version of it. I tried installing the eSignal app version 11 directly ...

it still amazes me how old bad habits can creep back into your mind so easily. The post above was so not warranted now that I think about it. 60, 30, and 15 min charts were all above the hull, and not just because of the single ND-like bar (which is ...

actually through the esignal feed i can get both the GAIN feed and the composite GTIS feed. EUR A0-FX is the GTIS feed and EUR@GAIN A0-FX is the GAIN feed. I use the GTIS feed with the esignal software.

little ND on the EU15 just before NY closes, right after a 2-bar UT. If it weren't 4PM i'd probably short the break of the ND, but for now i'm going to wait it out.

Glad to see i've identified the same level as the master
Looking for a test/NS at 3640 (trigger line on attached 2hr chart) for a long, otherwise i'm short as well.vsa with Malcolm

my eSignal feed has that WRB downbar volume as higher than the previous two and the previous one as a no demand upthrust. So it seems we're stuck between 3600 and 3680 at the moment. Starting to look like accumulation with the dips beeing bought and ...

I have trouble with that as well. But generally accumulation is seen by lower volume on down moves and higher volume on up moves in a a consolidation range. distribution is the opposite.

my live acct is with forex.com. I've found the broker volume on MT4 to be suspect at times, but they give me a free eSignal feed as well so I generally look at both the eSignal feed and broker feed.

closed my long for now...maybe too early once again, but the M5 seems like some more weakness - increasing volume with no result. closed at 3662 on the break of the pin bar.

i believe some refer to it for longer term volumes - daily, weekly, monthly as spot forex volume is tick volume and not as reliable for those longer term periods. futures volume for long term is supposed to me more accurate/reliable due to it being ...

took a long after the 5min Ns/test bar after the shakeout seen. Long @3618, which is where the strength started to appear in early London session. SL set to BE+1 and watching.

i'd be careful with any shorts as well. The last 2 5-min bars together look like a pretty big shakeout. Time to see if there is follow through.

hmm, had to stare at my own screen shot to realize the M15 looks very much like a cup with handle formation in the works. Decreasing volume on the down move during NY afternoon, tightening spread in early asia to form the base, increasing volume to ...

What do you make of that last M15 bar? Looks like a hidden UT to me - volume doesn't show it on this screen shot, but my esignal feed shows higher volume on that bar. And the M5 is starting to look weak with several upthrusts in the last 30 minutes ...
