Fx3423454 replied Apr 10, 2013I am looking for feedback on what the margin requirements are for some other brokers on GBP/JPY? With my broker FXCM the margin requirement for one standard lot or 100,000 units is $3,600. I'd love to hear some feedback on the margin requirements ...

Fx3423454 replied Apr 9, 2013I think it's 100 EUR/USD = 450 USD/DKK. It is still more profitable to trade USD/DKK because you can leverage more. The more lots you are trading the bigger the difference becomes.

Fx3423454 replied Apr 9, 2013You're right dude, 100 pips of EUR/USD is about 450 pips of USD/DKK. But, in the end USD/DKK is still more profitable because margin requirements are lower. Anyway, you are right if you are used to trading EUR/USD it's not that much different. I ...

Fx3423454 replied Apr 9, 2013The margin requirements are also ridiculous as with all Eastern European currencies I have paired with the USD. USD/RUB USD/HUF USD/CZK A standard lot (100,000) units requires $5,000 at least with my broker. Also the spreads are not as low. I have ...

Fx3423454 replied Apr 9, 2013Yes, they are... However, NOK and SEK are not identically correlated the way that EUR/USD and USD/DKK are. Also, the spreads are a lot higher with USD/NOK and SEK/NOK and as far as USD/RUB is concerned the margin requirements are huge and also ...

Fx3423454 replied Apr 9, 2013Yes, that part is understood. However, let me put it to you this way. 500,000 EUR/USD Margin Requirement = $15,000 500,000 USD/DKK Margin Requirement = $10,000 Do the math, I already did. If you are a consistently profitable trader you can make more ...

Fx3423454 replied Apr 9, 2013Yes it is, but if you were to only trade EUR/USD instead you would not be able to leverage as much. In the end, when you do the math USD/DKK has the potential to give you far more gains. Because at the end of the day you can leverage a lot more with ...

Fx3423454 replied Apr 9, 2013That is very interesting, what platform do you use? How were you able to put DKK in front of USD? It sure does look like EUR/USD when you pair it together that way. lol

Fx3423454 replied Apr 9, 2013Just wanted to let everyone know in case they are not aware. USD/DKK seems to move identically to EUR/USD except it is the inverse. The reasons why it is attractive to me are as follows: 1. It moves hundreds if not thousands of pips more than ...
