Been waiting for this trade for a few days and finally got it. When I took the trade, there was resistance just below where my stop loss line is showing. Price had made 4 attempts at breaking it and got forced back, taking any of the other buys on ...

If you go to post #1 that will give you eelfranz's view of TMS and then in the attachments (paper clip at the top of the page) you will find in there a couple of pdf's of eelfranz's posts.

Yes there are variables, too many variables for me to mention here, in every trade and in every trader, but you can only look at the edge you think you have and trade it. Take the USDCHF you mentioned. Personally I wouldn't be bothered to wait for ...

You must have mixed up which post I was referring to, although I did quote it in my post. I was answering the comment you made: we small retail traders have no chance when we only look for TDI cross - made a little while after the news - and my ...

And sometimes taking notice of the tdi cross on h4 and going in on the second candle would mean you're +70 pips as in the case of EA, I wasn't one of them but I bet there are a lot of traders that are.

My other trades this week, 2 H4 trades and 1 H1. +100 on each. The GA was taken a couple of minutes before the close of the previous bar to the one shown in the first picture as I was waiting for m15 to show some signs of life, taken because of the ...

Of course you can and only he knows the answer to that, I always set my take profit at 100 pips but I do as he does and if I dont like the trade I come out well before that, other times it will run on to the 100. Why 100? Its a nice round number

He said he has a take profit of 70 pips, not that he expects to bank it on every trade. He said he averages 130 pips per week, thats an average of less than 30 pips per day.

I would say that "position building" (only called this by the way for "pro traders", if a newer trader does it its called "adding to a losing position") is a very dangerous thing for any new trader to be doing. Here's a novel idea and not sure if ...

Yes if I'm trading h4 I would look at the daily for a hint, if I'm looking to trade on any timeframe I go to the next timeframe up just to see if its likely to go as far as I want it to. The moves start on the smaller timeframes obviously, but ...

As wdays has said in his post, I don't look at the "trend" but I need some sort of hint the higher timeframe maybe about to turn. That can be a candle pattern, divergence, trendline something to tell me. I explained what I'm looking for in this ...

If on h1 I will very rarely go against the h4, I need some sign that it may turn, and where you took that short, there was nothing on h4 to suggest it might turn around, tdi was still strongly holding up and there was no sign there could be a ...

The market has definitely changed in the level of pips that can be expected, and that Eric's system may have evolved to take that into account, but the volatility at that particular time of day hasn't changed, we still have more volume in London/NY ...
