charvo replied Nov 2, 2012yes, diceman, just as the image you refered to the original thread the pairs are better to cancel each other, and look symmetric, otherwise, we might end-up trading a couple of pairs. however, the basket trading, like Maxx mentioned, is to ignore ...

charvo replied Nov 2, 2012Hi, Maxx, that's what my dumb mind wonders too. as i said, USD, JPY, and All Others, that's three players on this market. If USD rules, the offline chart moves; If JPY rules, same; for these 2 cases above, if trend seemingly (prediction needed here) ...

charvo replied Nov 2, 2012the 14-pairs config, at the very beginning of Trader101's thread, is to make 7 pairs hedge against the other 7 pairs. fully hedged, like a perfect RING of 14 pairs. this "fully hedged" concept (also found in many other threads like "phantom 6"), is ...

charvo replied Nov 2, 2012I have an easy solution. Just remove USDCHF and GBPCHF reason: USDCHF = reverse of EURUSD, because now CHF is same (almost) as EUR. GBPCHF = reverse of EURGBP, same reason above why unnecessarily have bigger risk and higher spread cost?

charvo replied Oct 24, 2012it's been months since i coded anything related t101 stuff. so i might be wrong. i am not quite sure how the offline bar is calculated. is it the summary of 14 candles? if so, it'll be relatively easy to code the HAS color change. in other words, we ...

charvo replied Oct 24, 2012Kos, ever tried this? : after HAS changes color, wait till the candle bars retrace and touch the HAS, and then entry. Or you enter 1/2 trading size at HAS changing color, another 1/2 on bars retracing to HAS. seems that the bars tend to retrace very ...

charvo replied Oct 23, 2012Good luck, Kos! I have a keen eye on your experiment. Nowadays, I gradually believe it might be that the large (very very large) TP instead of selected-pairs brings the success/profit.

charvo replied Oct 15, 2012Hi, Mezarashii: do you happen to have some new draws for this week? in your figures, the first 4 or 8 hours are not clearly indicated. i'm not quite with you how you draw the Fibos.

charvo replied Oct 15, 2012agreed. portfolio, when huge, is very difficult to manage, especially in the pathetic MT4. one needs far more statistics to support her decisions when market suddenly goes against her huge positions. my own feeling is when you have a huge net ...

charvo replied Oct 6, 2012but i truly doubt the idea that's been tried to convey here. why ppl so crazy about the magical TMA? for that graph, from 1st look, you might guess it might contain less than 20 or 30 trades? why is it sufficiently significant to judge TMA is ...

charvo replied Oct 4, 2012didn't want to comment, but on second thought, i should pay back to the thread creator for this great system by help clarifying the core idea. your TP vs SL 1.5 will fail this system. simple as that feel free to try though i guess the7 might have ...

charvo replied Oct 3, 2012nice, ultimately, this is a semi-EA, (i mean the original method, not your EA) try setting TP = 0 without trailing stop, you'll see the potential of this method, try it, if interested.

charvo replied Sep 23, 2012interesting, using my simulator, 51 trades, 45% win rate, final outcome: 937 pips, max DD: -408 pip, average win: 86 pip, average loss: -37 pip; spread cost -153 pip (with spread 3 pip) very difficult (for me) to trade, though it is an easy period.
