Vermillion replied Feb 5, 2015To this extent, speed, and timing? When the NY session is nearly done and the market close up shop in 2 hours? No. Doubtful. This movement IS unnatural. Look at the geppy-we rose 80 pips, and broke to the next resistance in 16 minutes. Pretty much ...

Vermillion commented Feb 5, 2015I blame Friday tensions. We're going to see the gloves come off on that day, where both the U.S. and the U.K. have VERY important announcements. The U.S. especially is important; I wouldn't be surprised to see an 80pip+ movement in the eur/usd ...

Vermillion replied Feb 5, 2015Pretty hefty movement up on GBP & USD pairs for no reason, and we're in the closing hours of the NY session. I suspect it's due to the hours prior to the news day on Friday. We've no prior hints on chart movements; they just suddenly jumped up, and ...

Vermillion commented Feb 5, 2015That happened hours ago; check the actual article that states the rumors. More importantly, the eur/chf is quiet (relatively speaking) right now, so it's something else. We're seeing awkward movements in gbp/jpy as well. We just jumped to the next ...

Vermillion replied Feb 5, 2015prices are weird right now. eur/usd just punched to 1.15 for no reason, and gbp/jpy is now at 180.10 (for no specific reason). They all happened in a matter of minutes. Taking shorts on both. Let's see the markets roll. I suspect it's the ...

Vermillion commented Feb 5, 2015Don''t short now. Short just prior to Friday's NFP news or following it. If you've traded forex for a while, you know what I'm saying. If you're relatively new, then...do whatever you want. Jut make sure your margins are big enough to handle dozens ...

Vermillion replied Feb 5, 2015The likely low I expect for pullback is 178.50. Still a bit iffy as to if it'll hit 179/178.80. What numbers are you looking for? I expect at least 179.20.

Vermillion replied Feb 5, 2015We'll see that number eventually. Currently in pullback mode.

Vermillion replied Feb 5, 2015The fact that the gbp/jpy's moving to the final resistance of the 4 hour descending triangle is a bit nerve-wracking. I wonder what'll happen tomorrow. Hoping for good US data, since that'll put us on the track to potentially back to 189. If US data ...

Vermillion replied Feb 5, 2015Be on the lookout for possible pullbacks in preparation to move up. Otherwise, aim for the next 2 previous resistance on the 4 hour chart. That's my strategy, at least. I'm probably not going to hedge any positions on pre-NFP Friday.

Vermillion replied Feb 5, 2015US News is positive (but not that as much as it could be, since trade balance is negative. Good for geppy, though), good chance of of moving to next resistance. However, we have a chance of a small pullback down to 179.20~178.80 before we get there.

Vermillion replied Feb 5, 2015Took profit. We've hit the next key area. I expect a small pullback (possibly not depending on US data), followed by a pursuit to 180.20/00, as long as this bullish trend remains.

Vermillion replied Feb 5, 2015We might see choppy action depending on how bad the US data is. If it's good, I expect 180.20/00. If its moderately bad, meh-still somewhat bullish based on current charts. If it's excessively bad, I'll just be on my couch, sipping coffee.

Vermillion replied Feb 5, 2015Clear break....The market might just have a break to 179.40, dip down to 179~178.80 or something like that just to mess with me. Wouldn't be surprised. Hoping it won't happen, but not unexpected. And 179.05 area seems to be a rather annoying fib ...

Vermillion replied Feb 5, 2015Probably a conflict with the bulls from yesterday clashing with the Greek news. Honestly, this took a lot longer than expected, considering we're intraday bullish for now. We maintain above 179, probably going to see 179.20~.40. If we maintain break ...

Vermillion replied Feb 5, 2015Anyone having this issue? What will the next resistance be: 179.20, or 179.40? The yesterday's high (resistance on the hourly), or the technical fib point based on yesterday's movements? The pullback there should be 30-40pips (possibly more), so its ...

Vermillion replied Feb 5, 2015All UK data is as expected, and maintained the same as previous months. We've a green light to test 179.20/00 right now, possibly 179.40 (a technical resistance based on yesterday's chart movements, but this may not be accurate as we had an outlier ...

Vermillion replied Feb 5, 2015Go ahead if you want. I'm not. Maybe a small short at a fib point, but other than that, I'm waiting for higher marks. Unless, of course, the UK news turn out to be bad. Then I'll sit out.

Vermillion replied Feb 5, 2015The U.k. is likely to keep its rates the same. Lowering the rates is unlikely it's at historic lows, while hiking it seems difficult given current inflation trend. So in all likelihood, it'll come down to the UK MPC rate statement. Anyone know WHEN ...
