I love waking up to profits in the morning EUR/USD seems to be showing no signs of going down. GBP/USD has had a interesting drop though, anyone have any reasoning behind that?

Gold was valuable for ancient kings because it was their currency. There was no paper, currency: coins, nuggets etc were MADE of gold which in turn gave it value. Now gold no longer gives value to currency, currency gives value to gold.
