Shiva is the Hindu god of destruction. But in Hinduism, that's not a bad thing because the world is created and destroyed over and over. If you have good karma, you can't wait for Shiva to come and wipe everything out. Shiva is also associated with ...

Well I know you can save the FFT data. This is in the form of a long list of frequencies and amplitudes. I believe I've exported XY data too but if not, a good plotting program will have an inverse FFT function.

Analyzing market data as waves — Cool thread MIB, I think I'll share some of the stuff I've been doing. Maybe this should be more about "cutting edge" and less about "overly complex." I dunno I'm convinced the markets are wavelike, and if you ...

I'm doing pretty well with the Vegas stuff. I've overcome most of my initial confusion and it all seems pretty simple now. However, I really have the urge to figure this stuff out. The intellectual challenge of this stuff is why I can't tear myself ...

Someone correct me if I'm wrong. The longer term your trades, the more you make on average, but the more consequetive losses you have. Cyclical and volatility traders tend to have a high winning percentage but don't make much per trade. Trend-based ...

My understanding... — Rule 1 says to me, "Don't go against a big move in progress because there's still plenty of room for it to move." So the 30-45 pip thing is just saying "Don't trade yet." Rule 3 says "Hey, it reversed more than 50%, maybe ...

This is the kind of thing my instinct tells me to do. However, it does seem to go against VWB to reverse a position before reaching the target. I also hate paying the spread.

Just bought USDJPY at 81. It might be a repeat of 2 days ago in which case it'll bounce down to around 70 before continuing upward. I had an order at 60 which would have got me a great price but I got scared and waited for it to settle down

Well, we've got a daily high on EURJPY. I might have just got lucky. I'm not sure if it's going to bounce all the way back down again, but the trendlines keep pointing higher. Should I hold on?

That's what a lot of chaos theory is about: The difference between paths through a system from two similar entry points. You also might have found a harmonic frequency that never goes away. You might learn a lot about the market by studying this ...

I've been watching EURJPY closely and it loks like a VWB deal for sure. As usual, I was overeager and thought it had bounced around as long as it could before shooting up. I should have taken Vegas seriously and not bought into a sideways market. ...
