Anybody shorting this yet? I expect a retreat the second part of the day because of it's big run-up this morning. Also, the stimulus package that the US announces tomorrow should help the dollar, and people might start trading in expectation of ...

I agree. Sunday nights and Mondays are weird. I like the evenings on weeknights. I think a lot of it is sentiment or settlement from last week and the weekend. Once things settle down a bit, everything seems more clear.

I don't mean any offense by this. Why do you think today is terrible? Did the markets do the opposite of what you expected, or was it the lack of opportunities to jump in on?

I'm with you on this one slick. I'm bullish on the dollar. The world is handling this crisis a lot worse than we are, and Europe in general will have trouble weathering this since they have zero economic flexibility amongst themselves as individual ...

I'm talking short term. I assume most people scalp or hold trades less than a week. Seems most people are assuming it's going to hit 1.30 and above in the short term. I expect it to fall more than it has long term, but I could see a retreat upwards ...

Any particular reason why most people seem to be bullish for EURUSD? Is it due to the stimulus package looming, or is it mostly because the low has repeatedly been hit and it hasn't broken through the floor yet?

awesome idea — I wish there was a trading platform that dedicated the lower 15% of the screen or whatever to a built-in IRC platform so people could chat live in private rooms. It would be cool if three or four like-minded traders had that ...

Is this a random guess or do you have reasoning behind it? Personally I am a little pro-dollar right now, to be honest. I think the world looks to the dollar as a safe haven, despite the fact that our national policies slowly bludgeon its value.

No I actually look forward to it. Just send me a private message with the direct link because I have a feeling 12 more pages of conversation will occur and I'll be out most of the evening. I started with the demo in July. I had a good strategy... ...

I trade price action too. What do you look for? This is the first time I am trading during the day (eastern U.S. time). One trade, quick 8 pips. It's more stressful. I always prefer 7pm-2am when only the Japanese/AUS forex markets are open. Then I ...

Any specific reason for the volatility today? I'm assuming it's just a mixture of bad news in every currency and people don't know what direction to take it... It's tough to ride cowboy style in this environment

I got to agree with this guy here. The more uncertain things are, the more volatility there is going to be. The only thing you really need to worry about in the currency market is whether the world eventually loses faith in fiat currencies, which ...
