Awesome posts! I completely agree about the advantages of focusing on the bigger moves. I've found that even just making a commitment to use the 5EMA in an escalating fashion (use the 15M 5 until the 1H close, then the 1H 5 until you get 4 1H ...

Thanks Ken. I went and dug up the post, it all goes back to this for me: url I think Trotty had a similar "aha" moment after reading that post as well. Learning to spot a failed breakout on any TF (not just the 15M) as a potential H&S, or at least ...

I agree 100%. When I hear about manipulation, I immediately think about the central banks around the world, and the overwhelming majority of money that is traded via intrabank/ECN vs "bucket shop". BUT I don't think about it for long, because I ...

If anyone was trading yesterday I hope you are still with me on GU, you should have at least half a position left depending upon your MM, and there were plenty of chances to readd. Watch the London fix, it's the end of the week and the end of the ...

If anyone took the GU trade you could use this area as TP1 depending on your MM -- we're at the 50/62/200 on the 1H and up 50-70 pips depending upon where you entered (15M or 1H). I definitely wouldn't consider closing more then 50% of the trade ...

I haven't posted any charts lately so here's a GU long.. We've discussed this setup before a hundred times, so we all know what to do here. Get in, cover -- if it makes a run back down to 1.534X-5X we get stopped out and wait for re-entry, if it ...

One thing I noticed about this is the use of the 5EMA (yellow on that chart). Actually it might even be the 5SMA judging by the curves on it. But either way, same idea-- it seems like all the really big, quick moves do not close across the 5EMA for ...

Yeah that's the point I was trying to make in my post last night although I don't think I did a good job of it. He loved that little 10EMA pattern on the 15M whenever it was in confluence with HTF S/R, bigger pattern, etc..

That last M on A/U has some very nice things to say on the 4H and daily! This could be a 200 pipper.

Same chart as above (A/U), just added a different perspective on the top. I didn't get the short, I need to setup a second account.. Who knows which side will win, but with two very obvious entry points, you could enter one position long and cover, ...

On the same topic, here's an inverted H&S setup I took on Friday afternoon on A/U.. I put a green arrow by the entry, but if you look at the yellow circle you'll see that it gave a W entry before taking off. I've seen H&S do this a lot, might be an ...

Speaking of W's.. here's a trade I took earlier on G/U. Price came back to retest a very strong resistance area that can be seen on the 4H, Daily, and Weekly after failing to close below it (on the daily and weekly) Friday. The 4H did close below it ...

Ken, just curious, do you use satellite Internet? Or does the local cable or dsl provider setup a drop for each slip?

Awesome trade store! On this same subject, I was chatting with store and trotty earlier this week about a method for staying in trades with full position that may have some merit to. On big reversal moves, the 5EMA does a really good job of showing ...

The trouble I'm having is deciding when to scalp vs when to let the trade run. We've got a lot of great scalping entries, and it's possible to make a lot of money in 20 pip chunks. However, it's also very appealing to just wait for big patterns like ...

Heres a GU short that is similar to the EJ short.. The only difference is that the 35SMA lines up with the 50% fib instead of the 50EMA (as was the case in GU). There was also a boatload of signals on the lower TFs.. DBHLC on 15M, pin on 1H, 4H pin ...

Here's an interesting trade on EJ.. I attached the daily chart. You can see the 50EMA bolded in green, intersecting with the 50% fib level, bolded in red. The red fibs are drawn from the very top of the most recent major swing to the bottom. This is ...

Yeah I'm loving these H&s's.. I got in on this possible right shoulder on E/J. (1H chart attached) The green fibs are the 50/62 drawn from that major swing, starts all the way at the bottom (109.57) up to the most recent top (111.65)
