aicccia replied Nov 11, 2006I would try a 24 wma and a 72 wma. As for the directional movement, use a moving average of oscillator set with those settings 24 and 72 and use its cross at 0 as a confirmation. Welcome to the forex world.
What DI interval, DX period and smoothing period for directional movement indicator?

aicccia replied Nov 10, 2006Drawdown and risk, though related, are not the same. Assume I have a $1000 mini account. Risk is the percentage of your accounts equity that you're using as leverage for a trade. If I "risk" 10% on a trade, and the trade goes bad, 10% is not what I ...

aicccia replied Nov 10, 2006If I risk 10% on a $1000 mini account with a eur/usd trade and lose 20 pips on a bad trade, I've only lost $40, disregarding spread.

aicccia replied Nov 10, 2006it's one of the standard indicators like the MACD. Actually it's dirived from the MACD. Look at the macd and you'll notice there's a sma line running up and down through the histogram. The osma indicator is the histogram - the sma. So on the macd ...

aicccia replied Nov 10, 2006Thank you for your support. My system is very simple. You buy when a certain osma is above 0 and another osma is indicating an upward trend and sell when it is below and an downward trend is indicated. The devil is in the settings and understanding ...

aicccia replied Nov 8, 2006this happens with interbank, also there will sometimes be a data gap from 20-50 pips randomly. It sucks but instead of complaining I just moved to higher time frames. 30 minutes is as low as I trade on interbank.

aicccia replied Nov 8, 2006I would stay in if you have a short. There is massive resistance at 1.2800 which the price has met twice this week and failed to break, the averages on the 30 minute and 1 hour charts are consoladating, and osmas are heading below 0 on both 30 ...

aicccia replied Nov 7, 2006I don't understand. It's only at 1.2782 now, thats just 11 negative pips. Why would I need a lot of money for that? I don't use stop losses. I entered the order because *takes a deep breath*, the osma average with a slow of 48, fast of 1 and signal ...
