ah! zoom out! H1 looks like a very nice test/shakeout type bar of today's IBH and yesterday's high if it can hold 3680

agree, it dropped through there to about the IBH and bounced. but the bounce is on low volume...we may still go down some more to pick up more steam? EDIT: pic with low volume i don't like. Stop set to just below that just in case.

low volume nodes — Take a look at the 1 hour chart attached, here's what i've noticed about LVNs (low volume nodes), or at least "single print" areas. Each time there was a quick move resulting in LVNs, it was done through prior area of ...

We just closed a 30M bar above london's DIBH, and just prior a nice shakeout at NY IBH. 3720 should now be in the cards for today. EDIT: Sorry for the messy chart...need to fix my indi... UPDATE: 3720 practically hit (3718 high on my live and demo ...

EU absorption — EU M5 as shown, and M15 (not shown) are looking like absorption volume to me. Anyone else agree?

we just got a NS/test on the 5M right at the london IBH. That's good, maybe i won't get stopped out after all
3720 is my initial target - DIBH - factoring in the not so narrow NY IB. That assumes we break london's DIBH at 3688Auction Market Theory and Market Profile

odd — Somethings odd on EU...not sure what to make of it just yet. Asian IB was 9 pips, narrow by all means. I was expecting a breakout above DIBH after the nice test/shaekout of DIBL. price indeed broke out above DIBH but not as high as I was ...

interesting. Are your recent charts using the london open as the "start" time for a profile? If so there is not much difference from the value areas i'm seeing based on asian open.

as most bank roll-over at 5PM NY time, that is what I use for the start of my day. You can also use 7PM (the asian session open) and there is little difference between them. As for the low volume nodes (dips in the histogram), as far as i have read ...

POC = point of control. Is is the place where most of the activity took place for a given time period. activity = volume. not to dilute this thread, for info on POC, high/low value area, and related info take a look at this thread: url

it is possible, but we tested that area today during London/NY overlap so i think less likely. on a side note...3 days of compressed price range since friday. last time that happened was january 7-11 and resulted in several days of above average ...

good luck with the trade. I would not have taken it for several reasons. 1) 3:30 PM eastern - too close to NY close. Got burnt by a trade like that a couple of weeks ago 2) you bought right at near todays developing POC - just changed to 3632. To ...

once 3656 level failed it was more likely for price to continue down to about 3620. This is of course easy to say now that it has reached 3620 - but that is around the low of today's value area whereas 3656 is the high, so if the high fails chances ...

longer target is 3940-70 area for me as that is a naked monthly POC from october. but that will obviously depend on reaction at the levels you indicated.Auction Market Theory and Market Profile
- tgwhbb replied Feb 8, 2011
Good target. 3688 is the double initial balance high (DIBH) for today, so with some over shoot 3700 is likely. As for next 24 hours, I'm still thinking higher, but it will depend on reaction at 3688 area as that area is a trigger number based on NFP ...

agree with you about 1.37 in the cards for today. but we'll probably come back to test 3650 area. My target is 1.3687 based on auction market theory and also coincides with ATR14. EDIT: can't seem to add chart at the moment...
